Tuesday 14th February at 2pm we’re holding the first meeting of our fashion workshop with no prior experience needed. Hopefully we will be ready for a fashion show in April. On the evening there will be dinner and some reggae music…
and this is in which location, and run by whom?
I suspect its at that St Agnes Place, Kennington SE11 but perhaps Mr Watt or Lorraine23 could confirm it
BTW I’ve never been there but it seems to be upholding a continuing tradition of positive DIY culture in South London, something that should be celebrated in an otherwise increasingly dismal and violent capital city
But all of you – please tell us where your events are going on and how to get to them! Remember also this site is read worldwide – we need to know what country they are in as well 😉 – also it helps if as much info is in the subject line as this site may be relayed to others on RSS feeds
Sorry! Yes it is happening at St Agnes place which is a multi-national squatted street that has continously resisted eviction for 30years. Unfortunately it looks like it will soon come to an end due to the fact Lambeth Council are short of money and need to sell off to property developers (that’s only peoples opinion by the way) bringing thirty years of community to an end.
How to get there? Buses from London bridge, Waterloo, Brixton, Shoreditch and Tooting. The Northern line to Oval, it’s behind Kennington Park.
Help needed desperately to reinforce buildings 😀
I love jewellery!

Better make the most of it while it’s there then!
If you DO need to find an alternative venue, these folks are legit, non-squat, but not for profit. Kind of like a social club. There are 3 rules to Hackspace (and it’s an American concept that works very well);-
0) Do not be on fire.
1) All lawful activity is permitted in the space. Unlawful activity is not permitted.
2) Don’t be an arsehole.
There are loads of watches and jewellery items on a website I came across by chance the other day. It’s called http://www.dejuistetijd.nl/ and I couldn’t resist.
