yep – thats definitely the sort of hat I mean…
most popular around 1991-2 but I think people have started wearing them again recently..
people even wore them in Reading (there is a place called Jacksons there which is like “are you being served” where you can buy such items)..
I have one too :groucho: :groucho: :groucho: [fortunately no pictures exist of me wearing it – phew]
Well brand names also matters for some since its proven to give top quality.
i find the concept of wearing a particular style of clothing just because other people are wearing it to be such straight up unashamed sheepism I’m amazed people don’t feel massively embarrassed to do so.
and as for name brands, if they are high quality clothes then fair enough, but wearing a brand just so other people see it is also really lame.

Only a few years back i felt like a right dick at times, only because what i had been wearing for the last wot i dunno 10 years or so had become “the in thing” and i was well out off the age bracket lol. now its all tight black jeans and flat gaybo hats!
suites me just fine cause now i just shootout with porpoises and collect the powdered bones of fairies while walking over the waives to the hills of mist that never was.

oh rly? interesting take on fashion 😉
I was thinking about this more on the way to work.. i do wear clothes I see other people wearing, at some point I decide dreads and baggy trousers were cool and went out seeking the items. I think the point is more that I dont wear clothes to be part of a trend, I just pick things I think look good. Obviously its almost impossible to be totally original with your dress sense, but wanting to ‘fit in’ should not be a factor in what you wear.

or tomatoe and chilli, yum yum
I also see things I like others wearing – but it doesnt have to e ‘in season’ for me to wear,
I actually studied ‘fashion and design a level’ went on to art college to study it further – was told by my tutor ‘your not exactly fashionable yourself’, I found it far too catty and elitist – as I clearly didnt fit in –
told her to go fuck herself and swapped to fine art – and despite being told ‘I’d fail’ passed the course and even got the prime spot at the show,
the fight that happened the opening night -between my whole family infront of the deans……..
