until they banned all this the girls got filled up with all sorts of hormones and there are allegations in Soviet time that the trainers got some of them pregnant then they had forced terminations as it was a very quick way to get nutrients into their bodies; although looking at historical abuse cases British constabularies are currently dealing with it could equally have happened here especially in London where there can be links to corrupt healthcare staff or Northern cities where sports are seen as the only way to keep a kid out the of gutter. They may well still do something dodgy to delay the girls natural cycles as energy set aside for future kids could be diverted to the sport performance; I’ve noticed that a lot of retired sportswomen seem to have fertility problems….
I respect some British sportspeople for individual achievements but Brits aren’t really team sports players compared to the more Germanic/Nordic Europeans.
This is why they do not do as well at football (soccer) these days; and our cricket team is a shambles in spite of for 30 years being multicultural and thus recruiting players who are English born but have ancestry in the former Empire (before that the former colonies just thrashed us hollow nearly every time).
We do produce various stars in sports like archery; shooting (even with the strict gun laws) and more recently cycling; but again there are problems with teamwork.
Cycling and especially Team Tinkoff-Saxo.
Team Sky’s okay too
The womens british cycling team kicked fuckingarse in the olympics. New world record ever time they took to the track :horay:
