No Country For Old Men
There Will Be Blood
The Assassination of Jesse James
The Road to Guantanamo
The Fountain
Pan’s Labyrinth
no country for old men is such a good film, loved every second of it. the scene in the little road side shop is one of the best scenes in any film… so awkward and unnerving
saw a good one the other night with heath ledger i think and an ozzie chick, addicted to brown.. was just about their strugle and shit. was good. cant remember the name tho…
have u got a torrent for Groove mate? really wanna see Rolling, which sounds quite similar (ish) – just to see how shit it is.. but it aint been released yet..

It is definitely a great film. Really enjoyed it. However, I know it’s oh so ‘Hollywood’ and uncultured of me to say this but I was a little dissapointed in the ending and how it played out.
I watched it a couple of times to see if there was something profound, inspiring or a hidden message in the ending but I was left feeling a bit empty both times.
Still, the rest of the film is top notch.
‘The Kite Runner’ is excellent
‘Zeitgeist’ is hugely eye-opening. It can be found on google video or downlaoded. Honestly, everyone should watch it.
‘Into the Wild’ is very good
and of course ‘There Will Be Blood’ just awesome

yeah i agree totally
the ending was a real let down, or not let down but it didnt give me a sense of closure. well worth a watch though!

Apparently the Coen brothers love annoying people like that though. They deliberately don’t give a lot of their films closure.
I get the idea I suppose. It’s like looking in on a part of an interesting story. You wont necessarily get closure in real life and it’s the content of the story that counts, not the ending… still, I think it’s human nature to desire that “finish” or explanation at the end of a film/book etc.
OMG Rise of the footsoldier! Phat fucking film!! raaaraaaraaaraaa

Fair play, it is going to be a phat film! 😉
We watched Michael Clayton last night, that was a good film. George Clooney is a silver haired fox in it and his character gets some great lines. Recommended.
good to hear, just had it delivered today from amazon rental :bounce_fl
We had it from Blockbuster rental. Rocking service. :biggreen:
