Yeah mate i thought TIE was quite an intelligent film! One masterpiece that has to be mentioned is the Lord of the Rings trilogy. These films are absolute quality!

I just watched Transformers and OMG it’s fucking brilliant! Watch this film you’ll love it!

Yeah it’s quite entertaining… although being the geek that I am I was annoyed at some of the inconsistancies with the original story and characters.

Yeah there was a few things left out but i’m glad Megatron didn’t turn into a massive gun cos that would of looked bloody silly.
How about that bird in it as well? All i can say is, Damn i wanna piece!! 😉

Love the bit where the main character takes the piss out of his classmates:laugh_at:

oh and any one know the name of the film where the name tuttle gets mixed up with the name buttle on a type righter cos a fly flies into the machine and makes it type the wrong letter .. then all hell breaks lose when the wrong guy gets arrested and its in black and wight?

    Which one is it? :laugh_at:

    Party Monster (2003)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0320244/

“Set in the New York club scene of the late 1980’s thru the 1990’s, a tale which chronicles the rise and fall of club-kid promoter Michael Alig, a party organizer, whose extravagant life was sent spiralling downward when he boasted on television that he had killed his friend, roommate, and drug dealer, Angel Melendez. Originally from Indiana, Alig moved to New York, and came to be an underground legend, known for his excessive drug use and outrageous behavior in the club world.”

    or

    Party Monster (1998)

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0141716/

“He came. He partied. He killed.”

ah thats not the film i was thinking of then .. looks good tho i’ll have to watch it some time soon

I have always prefered older British films, particularly farces/comedies..

I saw Hot Fuzz last weekend and it definitely had the same sort of spirit (albeit with more modern effects etc) – not just sending up the USA cop/action films but it was a brilliant satire on British society today

I did think it was slightly unnerving that despite it being a comedy film, how so many aspects were actually true to life – IMO Suffolk and Essex is full of “communites” like the NWA and cops like Sargeant Angel!

Have you seen a film called love, honour and obey.

“Love, Honour and Obey is a 2000 mock gangster film starring several members of the Primrose Hill set. It was jointly written and directed by Dominic Anciano and Ray Burdis (who also appear in the film) as a follow-up to their 1998 film Final Cut. Both this film and Final Cut have the same trademark of giving the cast the same forenames as the actors who play them – of the sixteen main characters, only Matthew (Rhys Ifans) and Maureen (Denise van Outen) do not share this trait. The film also features a cameo appearance from former East London boxer turned comedian, Ricky Goodnight Grover.”
