i had my first proper run in with the law this weekend – lucky me!

i was at a gig on thursday and got kicked out for being a bit over excited apparently and they caught me with the bottle of gin that id snuck in, i left without causing too much of a fuss and when we got outside me and 2 of my cousins were being ushered away by about 10 stewards, and my cousin the moron punched one of them in the face. i didnt get involved whatsoever but the stewards tackled me to the ground anyway and sat on me digging his elbow into my neck until the police got there

the police arrested all 3 of us on suspicion of assault even though only one of us had been in a fight. i got arrested at 9 oclock and at the station they were being really arsey with me. they tried to get my fingerprints and photo, when i asked them why they were doing that cos i didnt think they were allowed he grabbed me and shouted ‘dont try and be funny with me’ so there was nothing i could do they got my prints and photo and put me in the cell. they kept me there until 2pm the next day which is when they had looked at the cctv and saw that i hadnt done anything. they were still being funny with me even then, making jokes asking if id enjoyed the gig and saying oh atleast youve got your ipod thats just as good as a gig,. pricks

i absolutely hate the police and i also want to know if i can have my prints and photo taken off the database because im not comfortable with them having even though i wasnt charged with anything

hope everyone had a better weekend than me haha

This is not an unusual reaction to a confrontation with the cops BUT do bear in mind that what they specialise in is control… generally of pretty hairy situations.

You were drinking, you were trying it on (with the club rules) and you got caught. Don’t try and blame the cops for you having the bottle. Your cousin throwing a punch – if it goes physical, then you can either fight your way out (not good odds) or just disown the hooligan.

Nope. You can never pretend you were never arrested BUT that’s not the same thing as having a criminal conviction.

The whole point about the experience of a first night in the cells, if it’s as unpleasant as possible, people generally don’t want to repeat the experience by confronting the police in the future (they learn from the experience and gain fear of confrontation). The last thing they want is for people to be perfectly happy to spend a night in the cells anytime they want (indeed once you get that sort of rep they suddenly get less happy about custody).

Don’t-Lose-Your-Head.

And you hate what you fear. If you want to outsmart the cops, you got to be a lot cooler headed than that.

I agree with Pat, disowning the hooligan ASAP was the best thing to do! If you’re in a group & someone attacks someone generally they’d be seen in most people’s eyes as together & a possible threat. They overreacted by how they handled you (bouncers) but one of their crew got attacked by your crew, this shit happens. Even if yoi could remove your details from the records like the Police would!

when i got done for having weed (it was stricter then) i got put in a cell, and they took my shoe laces… was like, i’m not going to hang myself cos you stole my weed… maybe if you nicked my weed dealer, but i’ll get some more wen i get out >>

fuck the po-po thats all i’ve gotta say.

It sounds like the bouncers were pretty harsh tackling all of you lot down, but i guess that’s their way of trying to control the situation (or they were bored). But even so, it kind of surprises me that they called the feds on you guys, i thought their job was just to remove people they considered to be causing a commotion not to put them in cells. But hey what do i know… i tend to stay away from the clubs and the bouncers so i have little experience of something like that.

But glad they looked at cctv and realised you weren’t in the wrong and nothing came of it, thats something. Out of interest did your cousin get any charges or issues with the police when they watched the tapes?

yeah they took my shoes off me and my hoody because it had strings on and they said i could hang myself with them, and they even ripped my shambala wristband off my wrist!

Lol I nearly got done for weed last week and I found the security guards were well cuntish too but the po po were actually respectful and decent and didn’t even give a fuck really…

Ive had run ins a lot of times but for minor stuff, cept that time me and my friends got drunk and hurled a potatoe and eggs and a cop car as it went by. We didn’t know! just bad luck.
