might head to glastonbury just ‘cos loads of people i know are going
bestival is one i’m very interested in, anyone been?
it all depends when i’m in the country etc.
hmmmmm. are you sure?? they split years ago.
going to work glade this year, save the dosh, may go to shambala as well, or see what takes my fancy nearer the time.
With much better tunes surely?
its good to hear from someone who went cos i thought i had missed out, and i fully trust your judgement, so maybe i didnt… :weee:
has to be glade then, i’ve got a few mates who go, as long as it doesnt rain like this years! :yakk:

tunes are okay at bloom (lots of breaks), much more variety at shambala tho. also shambalas bigger and they make loads more effort into dressing the site and making it look really nice and theres lots more random festival things to do as well. basically shambala’s ace! and they have fancy dress on sat even tho most people are fancy dressed the who;e weekend.. you wont be disappointed:weee:
they never release the lineup for shambala either, its about going for the vibe (man) as well as the music, so you dont just get a load of people going there wanting to see one artist and then whingin that there isnt enough of this or too much of that etc, everyone seems pretty open minded about enjoying it all.
ye they got back together recently and they are the first artist confirmed for big chill, you can find out in seconds using google. 😉
On November 21st 2008 Orbital Announced they would be reforming to play a gig together called “20 years after Chime” at The Big Chill Festival 2009.
Looks like its only for this gig they’re not back together back together if you know what i mean…
ill be putting in my deposit for the big chill this month, thinking about glade too, what others are worth going to if you havnt been to a festival before? :hopeless:
depends wot music ur into, check out gatecrasher last years line up looked so good.
worst festival people wise is Reading, full of 16 year olds who think they’re so cool cos they’re at a festival.
if u live near london a day at o2 wireless is decent if u like the style of music that day, 45 pound a ticket.
big chill was really good, but mainly cause of the people i was there with and the weather and tom middletons back to the summer of love classic acid house set! (which was awsome) and derrick carter, the rest of the music was pretty tame tbh and quite a tame festie i thought… its all about glade/shambala/sunrise/and offworld really. Global gathering/gatecrasher/leeds/v-festivals all that sort of shit are my idea of hell. Each to thier own tho. They just all seem really corporate, cost lots of money and give you relativly little in return and dont really seem to care about the punters enjoyment or that they have a good experience. They also make v.little effort to dress the site, which just shows that they couldnt really give a shit if you ask me.
the big chill was a definate anyway, and the music, i guess id like more of a chilled vibe with a few friends
shambala looks interesting too
so what about the big green gathering, its not really a festival right? i did something for an art exhibition there but i never went….lazy stoned art student *sigh*
check out shambala, u can chill if you want or have a proper dance. lots of things to do and look at as well. similar sort of vibe to big chill, but 10,000,000 times better. :weee:
