so what about the big green gathering, its not really a festival right? i did something for an art exhibition there but i never went….lazy stoned art student *sigh*

ive never been so cant really comment, but doesnt really seem like my kind of thing tbh. i know my friend got thrown out of the walled garden for getting abusive (coke + Stella) to this comedian guy that was giving a talk about mushrooms. She kept shouting wheres the punchline?! etc, etc. Turns out he wasnt a comedian, but just giving a talk on mushrooms! :laugh_at:You might love it tho… 😉

the ethical option is to volunteer to work it. The unethical is jump the fence, but im well against that for these sort of festies as i think its really tight esp when people put in such an amount of effort to insure you have a fun time in a safe environment for relativly little cost compared to other festies. Also i know the organisers. so cant really say bunk the fence… id say id jump V/reading/global gathering if i was gonna jump any fences, but TBH id probably be jumping out of them!

if i was gonna work id work before the festival started helping set it up, putting up fences/helping lay the infrastructure etc rather than during.. wouldnt be quite so much fun helping take it all down afterwards tho…

big chill was really good, but mainly cause of the people i was there with and the weather and tom middletons back to the summer of love classic acid house set! (which was awsome) and derrick carter, the rest of the music was pretty tame tbh and quite a tame festie i thought… its all about glade/shambala/sunrise/and offworld really. Global gathering/gatecrasher/leeds/v-festivals all that sort of shit are my idea of hell. Each to thier own tho. They just all seem really corporate, cost lots of money and give you relativly little in return and dont really seem to care about the punters enjoyment or that they have a good experience. They also make v.little effort to dress the site, which just shows that they couldnt really give a shit if you ask me.

have u actually been to any of these festivals or have u just made ur mind up they’re shit?
