have u actually been to any of these festivals or have u just made ur mind up they’re shit?

been to global gathering twice and it was pretty shit, had mates that have been to gatecrasher and said that was shit, read reports of the v and reading riots (i think) caused by loads of emo kids and that sounded pretty shit. They are also really/really commercial. theres no denying that im afraid mate, i go to festivals to get away from the outside world and advertising and all that shit. not to be classed as a captive audience that dove/lynx/macdonalds/nike, etc etc can advertise to for a weekend. This girl i know went to V-fest and not even 5 minutes from the band finishing there was a massive advert for dove on the video projection screens, If thats your type of thing tho mate fair play each to their own. Also the music and the crowd it attracts is not really my cup of tea.

I dont have to actually step in a dog shit either to know that its a dog shit. 😉

I don’t think the dates have been confirmed yet (I can’t find them anyway) but I wouldn’t mind going to Sanctuary again. The lineup was really good and if you got your tickets early they were like £35.

anyone know of any other UK festivals? Im up for trying to do more cheaper festies this year. Wanna try and find some more psytrance ones, but ive only found that OffWorld one so far… Anyone got any other suggestions?

yeah bloom is cheap and was quite a good, but it is quite a small festival, was a bit like a village fete at some points rather than a proper festival and you werent allowed to take your own alc into the main arena, which pissed me off after a while.

From your imagination (obviously you’ve never experienced them) what are the durrrrrrgs there like?

as its down in the south west you could get K for a fiver a gram. i was mainly getting high on my own supply tho…

shambala’s a lot lot better and only about £40 more.

ONLY £40 more? Part of the reason I want a really cheap one is because I’d like to share the experience with my group of close friends. Unfortunately, they’re all pikeys which could never afford to pay for a half-decent festy.

Why is Shambala a lot better?

its just a lot better mate, bigger, more variety, better crowd of people, more random stuff, art instalations, nicer setting with woods and art trails and stuff… check out the website…

sometimes you do actually get what you pay for. dont get me wrong i had a quality time at bloom, but shambala is better. If your going with all your mates im sure you’ll have a wicked time where ever you go…:bounce_fl

Alright thanks process. I think £50 will be a stretch alone for my lot let alone £90 in one go so I’ll ask them about Bloom.

I might already be going to Reading through my sister (I know what you said about commercialism but it’s one of the biggest festies in the UK, I might as well try it, plus I mostly listen to rock music away from partying).
