I would get bored of the music too fast, I need a wider range of music and more live bands not just people putting on other peoples records for 3 days. I am aware I suck.
i’m sure there will be live electronic acts…. one which is know for a fact is simian mobile disco.

yeah I am sure I would have fun, just for the cash I would get better value going somewhere with more variation. TBH if I had the cash and could find some people going I would just go for it but I am broke so perhaps next year if we are all still alive
torpedo town was fine until a combination of the feds turning up en masse and travellers fighting amongst themselves. Had my records seized by hantspol for two weeks, was told I would be arrested if I crossed the border again from Reading, and ended up on a combined TVP/hanstpol shit list of “rave organisers” for over a decade (probably still on it although TVP sort of realised I’d retired shortly before leaving SE England!)

were there problems within the traveller community then? violence wise etc
I take it the cops came down quite hard at certain points then? (beanfield springs to mind)

yep. there is no one kind of “traveller” any more than “Asians are all the same”, so conflict occurs between new age travellers, Irish and European gypsies, and within subgroups of these people. Without the nanny state to send cops in and break up conflicts (which now happens a lot more on site) disputes are settled by physical fighting, giving rise to common stereotypes of “pikeys” as depicted in the media.
yep although there wasn’t as many harsh busts anything like the beanfield, until Blair got in the cops were still pretty “Ashes to Ashes” when it came to dealing with travellers, squatters and political activists. The late 1990s were much better than the early 90s..
