Hi PV,
I’ve been wanting to try mushrooms for many years but have never been able to buy any and my attempts to pick some have been somewhat.. fruitless. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for finding them or any locations they’d be willing to share in south west England, around wiltshire / somerset?
Thanks :weee:
Giant TV transmitter aeriels are usually good locations – the top can’t be farmed but sheep are grazed around them. Kind of a natural meadowland effect.
Sheep farming (hillsides) and beech trees nearby for the right growth nutrients are pretty good indicators.
I regret can’t post actual locations, although Magic Valley (near Cheddar) is quite a notorious site. Tends to move around a bit though. 😉
if u cant work it out or dont want to risk u can always grow them yourself and have them safe anytime

In the same boat as crazyguy but my location is Devon/Cornwall border. Any help with location would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Went out picking today with a friend, managed to find a fair few. Good times :weee:
haha i know a little spot in south england that produces about 3000 shrooms a day 😉 this field is also relatively unknown, so makes for a perfect spot 😀
