I smoke 5-meo-dmt for the first time today. I’d just like to report my experience and get some feedback.
I aimed for a mild experience for a first time and I think that’s what I got.
When the package first arrived, it was labeled 250mg, though when I weighed it, the scale read 0.4g. The scale is pretty reliable (I tested it) but it only goes to one decimal place – so 0.4g could be anything between 350mg (assuming it rounds up) to 499mg (assuming it doesn’t). Anyway, I read that threshold is at 2mg, usual dosage is at 5mg, and intense is at 10mg. I decided to aim for 5mg. I assumed I had 400mg. So 5mg would be 1.75% of of the total. I aimed to get between 1 and 2 percent. I used tweezers. I grabbed a small pinch which, in my estimate, contained about 10 to 20 grains.
I smoked it.
Almost immediately I felt a calm serene sensation take hold of me. It was a spacy, light-headed feeling – almost like weed. Then a slow rush gradually came over my body. My mind remained in that calm serene place while my body went through a more harsh trip. My stomach started to feel just a little queezy and then I felt a very mild pain in the region between my chest and stomach. Then the experience was over – it gradually faded away.
I’m wondering if the sensation in the chest was due to harmful effects to the lungs. Is 5-meo-dmt a crystal structure? I heard these structures can act like razors in the lungs on a microscopic level (that sounds way worse than it actually felt).
Is this experience typical of a mild dose? How much would you estimate I smoked? I’d definitely try it again at a higher dose, but I worry about the nausea and the pain to the lungs. I’m worried I could do some damage to my lungs, though I wouldn’t smoke this stuff on a regular basis, so it might be worth it just for the experience.
