Fucking hell that is harsh, I thought it was bad in east anglia
it still affects us all even if you don’t drive
I’ve noticed price rises for food recently, I suspect this is also because of increasing transport costs..
if we stopped fuckin with thousands of people’s lives for oil, dya reckon the prices would go down?
unfortunately even that wouldn’t be an immediate or drastic price drop as the actual supplies are starting to dwindle – although a more equitable dealing network might make countries more willing to trade fairly with what supplies remain
OTOH we’d have less need to worry about people blowing up the country as a reprisal, less need to send soldiers to foreign nations and then pay their families pensions when they get killed so this reduces the amount govt would need to spend on defence and security, which could be passed back as tax reductions on fuel..
