Keep it real guys and gals.
exactly. it is so negative it is destroying itself
how can you trust it to do anything positive nowadays?
OTOH there is a case for good underground media but those content creators/editors need to have 3 times the integrity of any journo and be so careful not to fall into the trap of being seduced by the false glamour of the mainstream industry
there are very few people who can reach these ideals..
any of you seen Dark Days?
made me think
not sure what of :shy:
but I thought that something of relevance might pop up if i chucked the reference out there
:bulb:
I voted against in the poll but I am not against all documentation, in fact I will photograph and film often and I have published plenty of stuff on the net.
So I am not sure I answered correctly at all. I think what I am worried about is what people want to achieve and there is a difference between documentation, a documentary, a film or a history project. Anything that tries to bring the scene into the main stream or make the public aware is not a good idea at this time. IMO that time is when we have no choice and that is when they have stopped us altogether.
If you say something good, they will say something worse. they control the media, they are not beyond dirty tricks either, we no doubt have trouble makers but I would say we have very few compared to any other section of this country, they would argue we are all trouble makers.
The freedom to gather without license is very precious to me but it is correct that the police have the power to control us to some extent when we over use an area or party in the wrong place. we cant get it any better at the moment private freeparties(not pay) are not illegal. The police when professional and fair keep us on our toes, self regulating, the numbers reasonable even with the biggest parties now and the uncertainties keep most gangsters out of it. Often there is an understanding between us and the police but that is when they have a choice in it.
what is worrying is that there are some people who rank amongst the high and mighty who are campaigning to stop all parties and they influence the circles that move the polices and mood of the police. Operation Hartley is a prime example.
The time fast approaches when they may win but I think a step back, sidestep and forward approach is the best at the moment rather than hasten what is not inevitable by fighting back using their methods until you have to, however maybe its time to start making that documentary to have ready if they do finish all parties.
