Even if you did segregate countries and ethnicities and they did have a collective mentality…Britain would be considered a right wrongun. All this hate for immigrants really grinds on me, and I hear about it everywhere sadly. If you lived in a poor country and you had the chance to move elsewhere you would. Stopping immigration won’t just help the economy it will totally rip apart the lives of the most vulnerable. Ok fair enough some people take the piss out of the system but can you really compare that to I don’t know…fat cats and bankers?

Probably better that he and his supporters are public and can be scrutinised, rather than driven underground where they can plot atrocities such as arson attacks on immigrant families.

Some people think the BNP are too soft in being political and just go for the violence anyway – at least the BNP offers them an alternative. I don’t support them, but I do support their right to campaign and lobby, without using violence and intimidation, for that disclosure issue.

Nick Griffin is a scumbag cunt, but it’s better that pricks like him and Abu Hamza have the free speech to say these things, so we know what they’re thinking. Otherwise, as you said, they get driven underground and then potentially become more of a problem because they’re essentially unmonitored. There was a lad who got sentenced to 3 months in prison the other day for making a joke about missing child April Jones. No matter how wrong or tasteless what he wrote may have been, he should still have the right to say it, as should dicks like Griffin. At least that way, we know who to hate!

The UK is quite different to the US – in that, free speech isn’t permitted (speech which may cause harrassment, alarm, or distress is considered a crime).

However, WRITTEN publications are handled differently. It’s not the person who originates the info, it’s generally the person spreading the printed info who is considered liable (usually the editor of a publication, or Facebook for stuff posted on Facebook).

It’s doubtful Karl Marx would have ever got published outside of the UK. Not saying I agree with everything or indeed most things he wrote, but as a reaction to injustice, his works have some merit. Which probably why capitalists read them so avidly, to prepare themselves in countering “interference” with their extraction of wealth.

I’ll agree with that mate, didn’t actually consider disclosure of information when typing my previous post, was purely referring to the expression of views and opinions, but if that expression involves addresses and identities of innocent people becoming very public knowledge, then that’s definitely not on. Good point man.

And TankGirl, it seems that the lad in that link you posted was charged under a fairly ambiguous law, as what one person deems alarming, another may not. Also, the fact that he was charged after an outcry from the general public is very similar to the lad that I referred to in my earlier post, in that public opinion was effectively allowed to determine what went on in court, so much for fair trials! You’re right about the punishment though, woulda made much more sense to make him do some work with bereavement charities and such, where a prison sentence is only gonna further entrench his views towards the police and the system in general (which aren’t surprising considering they seem to stem from the police’s involvement in the death of his son, that’d be enough to make anyone feel the system had shit on them from a great height). Griffin should defo be banned from twitter and all, and possibly from life itself too!
