Why do all the ones involving speakers always red light everything.
Beat me to it :groucho: I fond it annoying :get_you: how about you?
Oh I love red lights:rant:
Makes the rig ten thousand times louder and sound well better :you_crazy
In case anyone thinks I’m serious red lights are bad….and no matter how well you can mix if you red light it all the time you are a crap DJ.
It sounds absolutely pap and destroys speakers and amps, even if there is a limiter in there. If a signal clips on the mixer it sends squarewave to the speakers which distort and as everyone knows…..its distortion that blows speakers.
I second that sentiment – red lights are a sign your tunes are being distorted, the sounds are muddied and the rig may get destroyed.
Red for stop, green for go.
Amplification is done best by that equipment designed for the purpose not the f*ck*ng mixer :get_you:
” young people,if you can’t bear not being in the red,ask for a comp/limiter or we’ll scratch all your CDs”

Love the lion gif …so cute …x:love:
A comp/limiter doesn’t help if they are clipping the mixer preamp. They can’t turn squarewave back to a nice clean audio signal.

Once the signal is muddy it is too late.
:hopeless:
thanx :group_hug …x
