hi all
i am looking for some help for my gf .she suffers from severe insominia .she has tried ghb in the past to help her sleep .it works great but im now having problems sourcing some ..any pointers in the right direction
gbl is meant to be similar this is dead easy to get hold of but im not sure how much you would take etc etc
any pointers welcome via post or pm .

not trying to sound rude or anything but think she’d be better not relying on anything to help her sleep. Taking up exercise and doing something in the daytime that is tiring always helps. I have the occasional insomnia and really annoying so know how it feels…valerian root and chamomile are good to take for relaxing and promoting healthy sleep. Hope it all works out ok.. sorry to waffle, just got back from the pub..

we have tried everything to sort it out valerian (yawn) etc etc etc
shes even had temazipam from the docs
guess what ??? they dont do shit
but ghb works a treat hence the thread

Has she tried being caffeine and sugar free? for several days is required for this to help.
Also to drink green tea made with not-quite-boiling water instead of normal tea as it has antioxidant properties

she has tried the following temazipam,cloneazipam,valium, valarium ,melatonin,weed, been caffeine free ,the list goes on its to early to recall them all
nothing works !!!
ive been in touch with a hypnotist he thinks he maybe able to help her
but out of all the things she has tried ghb works great hence the thread .i know its dodgy and that but for some short term reilef it works good
just having trouble finding it the last lot came from a gym .cant get hold of the man
GHB has a long-standing medical use as a general anaesthetic or in the treatment of insomnia.

not sure you will get any takers on helping you find those chemicals on the forum to be fair [these days the forums are read by the police as well as party animals]
is her trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep [and is she drinking or taking other drugs through the day]?
I was an insomniac for several years so she has my total sympathy :flowers:
My solution is to put an audio book [book being read out loud] on the stereo I keep in my bedroom and listen to it while lying in bed [Terry Pratchett books for choice]. As this keeps my mind busy listening to it, my body sneaks up and knocks me out cold and hey presto sleep :weee:.
I tend to wake very easily as well and my Dr prescribed me amytriptaline for a while to keep me asleep at night [taken 30 mins before bedtime] until I got into the sleeping habit again.
The other thing I find very helpful is to take an ibruprofen tablet just before I go to bed as it dulls the pain I suffer from constantly

shes had all kinds of stuff from the doctors nothing works its crazy..
she has been like this since she did a rapid detox from methadone 3 years ago
now and then she will get a good long sleep (8 hours) but most of the time its a few snatched hours here and there .it affects the rest of the family to as im sure you will understand been there yourself .
are doctors are pretty crap tbh your lucky to see the same one twice .apart from that they wont give her anything remotely addictive because of her drug history so sleepers are out
im hoping the hypnotherapy will help but im not holding my breath !!!

amitryptaline is actually an antidepressant not a sleeping tablet:wink:
Has she tried 5 HTP for that sleep problem? if not well worth a try as is St Johns wort tincture [the 5 HTP should be just one tablet taken before bedtime regardless of the instructions – less is definetely more :wink:]

she had them pretty early on they didnt do much tbh
yep didnt really seem to do much either
yep she did real good to kick the smack .she got into drugs threw pain via perscribed painkillers then smack then meth . these killed the pain of her endometreosis .then once she was clean back came the pain .thankfully shes had a op since and isnt in pain no more so she dosent need drugs anymore
but still no sleep ??? ive mates who had drug habits they rekon they had insomina for a month or so after the rattle
not 3 years !!!!!
its painful to sit back and not be able to help her in anyway.
she gave up drugs for myself and the kids knowing full well the pain would come back. yet im powerless to help her with her sleep apart from buying her things that offer hope but mostly fail

I see you are considering hypnotherapy so why not look into NLP [neuro linguistic programming] as well? It may be quite helpful too.

I have to say, thinking about her problems, that they remind me of mine and the final solution was to go to a naturopath and get them to design a special detox for the the chemicals [prescribed to me by drs to save my life] that had accumulated in my body. This took six months in total and I couldnt say the first weeks were that nice but after the first 2 weeks I really noticed a huge difference and I have been as normal as I could hope to be since then and sleep has been a lot easier. [The guy I went to see was Jan de Vries in case you are interested – I dont know if he has a clinic near you but it may be worth checking] [The chemicals I was taking have a tendency to linger rather like methadone does]
