In my opinion:
1. Ravers who dont go to norfolk parties have no right to give Norfolk parties a bad name.
2. Parties in norfolk will never end, wotever shape or form, they end up doesnt matter, they will still exist.
3. The norfolk party heads are more than up for fighting for their right to dance under the stars, just because all the other counties got locked down doesnt mean that this one will be!
4. Organisers will get more clever about the parties, and people will still go, jus coz the babylon TRY to stop us doesnt mean they will succeed.
5. There are more rigs in norfolk than there are clouds in the sky, some rigs havnt been out for years so whether or not lots of rigs get confiscated, there will be plenty left, im not saying that we will sacrifice rigs to keep on partying, im saying that there r too many rigs and too many ppl in norfolk that dont want to quit doing parties.
6. The cops around here know wot we do, and alot of them dont even care, we got directed to a party once be a police officer!
7. If you have a problem with the norfolk parties, then keep it to yourself, the rigs have enough bullshit to deal with already.
I think im speaking the minds of alot of Norfolk party heads.:group_hug

ok… who’s first?
No one is first, that was just my opinion, not an opotunity to start an argument.
to be fair I had a look on bebo yesterday and the people with bait pages are saying they will remove or moderate them more closely
I still say though if bebo had been around 3-4 years ago exactly the same would have happened but with some SE England crews – in fact one of the groups isn’t actually from Norfolk but from Oxfordshire
There is a reason why PC Jimmy May of Thames Valley could be helping the East Anglian constabularies (although I don’t think he is actually transferring as he comes across as the sort of bobby who wouldn’t want to leave his area, its more that he must be giving tactical advice)
organisers do need to get clever very quickly though, because an actual change in the whole countrys law is planned.
what I don’t get (as a newcomer to the area) is why the same 50 mile radius of places (centering around thetford forest) get targeted, when Norfolk is an extremely large county?
and surely in a community of rural people someone must have an older brother/sister who doesn’t mind a party and has legitimate access to land?

Ha ha ha. (i have been to norfolk raves as well btw)
it makes me laugh when people say fuck the babylon, i bet they ouldnt be saying that if the sister or mum got raped or someone they knew got killed, at the end of the day they are just doing what they are told to do, it might suck majorly but still.
what makes me laugh is that they think parties will go back to normal after they waste police time taking suicide rigs and use up the funds/budget.
but this possible couldnt be done because the police forces have joined.
exactly
that said there are a lot of people particularly young people who would try “DIY justice” round here (which is also why the cops have riot units and armed units on standby virtually 24/7, East anglia may look peaceful but its on a knife edge)
That said, because I used to listen to scanner loads when you could do this (I think its safe enough to chat about it now as its no longer possible), it actually taught me a bit of respect for some things the Police did
I remember once hearing about some cops had to go and close down a rave and the night before the same cops had had to do a 12 hour scene watch after a girl had been raped in a nearby town (I recognised the voices and callsigns) – they had barely a few hours sleep and were back on shift having to deal with an unfriendly crowd (this was in a rural area of SE England btw, not East Anglia)
also you’d hear traffic cops being sent to tell mums/dad their kids had been killed in a traffic collision… (and a few ravers have been killed over the years on the A134 and A14)
but this possible couldnt be done because the police forces have joined.
they haven’t formally merged but will link up between forces to close down parties
the cops have been allowed to use money that was set aside for major incidents such as terrorism, bluetongue and bird flu and the effects of imigration..
ironically I remember a few Norfolk ravers (on another forum) saying “cops should clamp down on immigrants” – well what also happened is cops got the budget as above, found out that immigrants don’t do half as much crime as was originally thought, and then decided they could use the money for dealing with raves!
people should take note of what elretardo87 says in his signature..

as if they went out this weekend, fuckin idiots
This is just a one sided conversation which is just lots of people taking the piss out of a county’s parties just because this the only time they cud ever do it. Nobody was saying all this a few months ago so how come in the past few weeks Norfolk is now a shit hole? Who will be laughing in a years time?
And on that point im leaving this thread, hav fun with the bitching!raaa
Wot happened to Peace, Love, Unity & Respect?

not all norfolk parties are shit/jokes there has been some awesome parties over the years but certain crews are fucking things up for everyone else.
when you are old enough to drink and smoke you might realise what everyone is going on about.
you think its a good idea that party crews put on parties in a zero tolerance area and every thing will be fine soon because the will run out of budget (isnt going to happen the locals of feltwell are pissed of that the fact OB hasnt dont anything to stop parties). many of these people who are complaining are freemasons, people who have moved to retire, ex police etc.
at least they didnt do anything this weekend.
OK some youths are being baitheads/daft but they are NOT the ones who regularly post on here who I find to be fairly clued up) nor people from certain crews in this area (who sadly are carrying the can for the sins of others IMO)
Having been playing this game for a while I’ve often wondered how much of the “Norfolk” slating is because of genuine issues (which actually affect the whole of the UK) and how much is simply sour grapes (that Norfolk ravers had been getting away with it for so long compared to other regions) or gloating (because the feds aren’t clamping down in their area).
I started taking drugs at age 15, and TBH it hasn’t done me that much damage…
and on the subject of youthfullness, at their best Norfolk parties can be really good – at one I went to last year around my birthday – for a few moments I actually felt like I was in my teens/early 20s again, and no other recent event in other regions has made me feel like that (although I showed enough integrity/honesty not to lie about my age to those young girls from Thetford :laugh_at:)
That said, Jack_Daniels does make some very good points about the nature of those opposing parties in this area, and a Police budget is basically an endless pot of taxpayers money.
Yes it does cost loads to put up OI99 (helicopter) in the skies but a lot of locals in Breckland and South Norfolk actually feel its money well spent.
