the cops already know who I am, and its not even worth them quizzing me, I’ve not been actively involved in illegal raves since leaving Reading in late 2005. Got more important and positive things to do with my life at the moment. I might consider helping with a legal event but even then have less desire to do so than I once did.
Anyway, there are easier ways of getting dental treatment these days :laugh_at:

your the mane ring leader of the ‘teath pullers’
had to give that up too, looking at some of the people round here it seems that someone else got there first..
its just not the same as the 90s, us crimminal gangs just cant make a living of partys anymore.

What happend to norfolk!!!!!
it use to be known for its dirty, stompin, sunny partys—
but now, there hasnt been a good stompin party in norfolk or that kinda area for a while, and norfolk is the best place to have a party coz half a millon chavs dont turn up and break everythin!!!– things have to change or dere gunna be no party scence in norolk and such parties in thetford, north walsham jus gunna be memories!!!!!!
sort it out!!!!!!!!!
kit
”i get live” ” mike nd charlie”
err thats exactly what started to happen (after 20 years of peaceful parties) – if there are no chavs in Thetford then there are no trees in Breckland :laugh_at:
you might think its hard to “break” a forest but some muppets have had a good go at doing so, deliberately scattering rubbish, tagging trees and breaking into farms/chasing livestock/feeding them with drugs
also when there have been indoor parties there has also been a lot of vandalism.
Worse when they can’t find any cops to have a ruck with there have been people turning up at parties what prey on each other, breaking into cars etc, also stupid fucking pointless fights due to jealousy over girls, like the sort of bullshit you presumably wanted to leave behind at high school or in townie pubs
I saw all this bullshit go down from mid 2007 onwards and it took a lot of the scene with it.
its a shame as all the young’uns who have signed up to here seem really clued up and its (slightly) older people what have fucked it up for them
damn right they have!
and speak of chavs in norfolk, me and a mate were doing sound for a mates private 18th weekend just gone and lo and behold a bunch of ketamine guzzling chav fuck ups arrive and we stop early to avoid any hassle.
no wonder i’m more interested in doing club nights…
i got started on a couple of months ago walkin round town by somebody, because of an incident that happened four years ago when we were 13/14.
a lot of chavs nicely inform me of what a cunt i was when i was 13, i think the underlying point is everyone’s a bit of a twat at that age. you’d presume by 18 that everyone would have grown up in general, and that past incidents were obselete. hey-hum.

any excuse for a fight

many people don’t forgive and forget – according to good friends of mine born and brought up in East Anglia, people in my age group and beyond (i.e in their 40s!!) will still fight to the death over something what happened in middle school if they felt it hadn’t been resolved…
since moving here I’ve seen the aftermath of several fights/stabbings already but none of them are random attacks, they are people what know one another and have decided to settle a long running grudge by force…
I live i nthe darkest depths of the norfolk countryside and i attend almost every norfolk rave.
Yes we do hav the type of ppl you dont want at a party, but we also have lots of ppl you do want at a party!
The reason norfolk police hate us so much is because of previous years of parties all over the county, many of them were put on by ppl from other counties!
The new norfolk scene is and is going to be much better than before, there are more legal events on evrytime i go on facebook, there are more; better, fresher, good soundsystems out there now to replace the old crews who have fizzled out of the norfolk scene because the police have nicked every single one of em.
2 years ago norfolk was litteraly shut down by police, it went from 2 partys a weekend to none in the space of 2 months. However, the scene is starting to pick up again, with the new rigs and new ideas. For example, since the summer last year there have been 4 big parties on private land in norfolk with not a single hint of trouble from OB, and there will be many more to come.
Since the budget cuts due to the recession, i hav not seen a single riot copper in norfolk, so that just proves they cant afford to deal with shutting parties down by force.
Everyone loves to diss norfolk but if u lived here, and realised there is nothing else to do apart from spin tunes and biuld speakers, then you would know that not having parties wud be out of the question. People need to realise that u cant just blame a set few people for making norfolk a no-go area for soundsystems, at the end of the day its mistakes by previous soundsystems and partygoers that has changed the scene in this county, NOT the people trying to rebiuld it.

if they are genuinely smaller events with permission/tolerance of the local inhabitants then the cops won’t lock them off, people have even done this in Suffolk! its a gamble though as all it takes is for a few locals to disagree with the rave, call 999 and cops will turn up, although if it is genuinely a private party the most they can do is ask for noise levels to be reduced.

Cops had budget cuts long before the recession started. they were having their budgets cut in 2006/7/8 even during zero tolerance.
its not that they can’t afford to deploy “riot cops” – they are the same cops as your local bobby just in more robust uniform. Some are even Specials who to the job for free!
The Police authority has an endless pot of taxpayers money in varrious contingency funds. They can and do use the emergency/anti-terrorism budget against raves as there isn’t much serious racial violence or terrorism in East Anglia, which is of course otherwise a good thing.
It cost a lot of money to chase after the scum who were killing prostitutes in Ipswich but society found the money and caught the criminals.
Its more most ravers are good natured and if they pack up when told and/or don’t resist the Police there is no need to use riot cops against them. Especially when they don’t want to nick all 150 people anyway and/or have people getting hurt/bad publicity, they already have their targets in mind from the intelligence they have gathered from places like Farcebook..
Cops in the UK aren’t that fascist either. They do give younger people / teenagers a chance especially if they otherwise lead decent lives and aren’t involved in other crime. Otherwise I would have got locked up when I was in my late teens/20s for some of the things I did back then.
but if/when they find out ravers are selling significant amounts of drugs or robbing stuff to fund new or replacement sound equipment (as opposed to having proper jobs), thats when things start getting heavy, especially as wider society has to pick up the pieces. round my way although some people got unfairly and unjustly targeted, others got in trouble with the cops because they were already in trouble for other stuff, some of it quite nasty like robbing other young people or other violent acts. Even then they gave people a lot of chances. The Suffolk zero tolerance started in 2005 but it was 2007 before the cops really started going in heavy as ravers were being stubborn and taking the piss, especially being slack about clearups.
The old skool local rigs of the 1990s/2000s survived because they were genuinely there for the music, packed up at sensible times, their crew members all had jobs and couldn’t be linked to drug deals or other bad shit, and they cleared up after themselves so the locals didn’t dob them is as much..
one thing to be aware of though is the current Government want to privatise Thetford Forest…
