its not even just a matter of conscience or “hippy stuff/PLUR”, its common sense
every time a youth fucks up through drugs (even though they rarely die or go permanently mad) a ton of other people end up picking up the pieces
friends, family, sometimes the NHS and even the coppers
it often permanently influences the way they view recreational drug use in society and when they are in a position of power it makes us move further away from tolerance
already we have one local constabulary who thinks that todays party drug user is tomorrows prostitute, criminal or even psychopath…
this is how the cops justify putting on riot gear and cracking heads if need be, they genuinely feel they are protecting society by doing so as its “sorting out the druggie/junkie culture”
