19 year olds are still kids at heart as well:wink: , im so looking forward to this glade im getting my bear suit ready, and its final bits and bobs, im taking three fancy dress costumes, on for each day, ones a Cat, ones a Bear, and ones a weird pale coloured dress
agreed.
Far worse IMO are people my sort of age who took too much drugs “back in the day” to the point where they have actually exacerbated personality disorders/mental illness and act in an abusive/anti-social manner – but are often too petulant/arrogant to stop their drug use!
definately, im bringing nothign but fancy dress this year. cant wait!
need to improve on my robot costume from last year
need to improve on my robot costume from last year
now that sounds like someone i have to meet, and dance in party costumes!
If you can get in, all well and good. It’s getting out that’s the problem. you have to hand in your ticket, show wristband and do a urine test(joke). So if you manage to jump be prepared to stay in for duration. Fucking good festival though. We shall be there this year. cant wait :weee: :weee:
The teenagers thing is probably mainly to do with clauses in license. Last year most of the Ok security were teenagers(19 ish), so we got away with loads hehehe. The ‘bastard’ security you have to watch out for as they will chuck you out for not wearing wristband, not to mention dealing etc.
The stupid thing about their ‘Adult accompanied teenagers policy’ is that there is absolutely nothing for kids to do there. It’s not like Glasto or Sunrise or others. What do you think a 12yo old would make of a few thousand people completely off their nuts?:hopeless: :hopeless:
yeah the policy seems a tad odd to me, everyone is allowed in apart from specifically 13-18 year olds… oh well, if i can get transport down hopefully i’ll get in and see y’all there raaa
trust me youll be able to get in … the gate staff are hardly altogether there rule obiderers 😉
no 13-17 year olds… what a joke. :you_crazy
…. i got ID’d recently buying beer in a shop. I was over the moon. I didn’t have any ID on me, but in the end the believed me that I’m 31 (I look it). I think initially they wanted to give me a hard time because I wasn’t wearing shoes and it was a conservative little seaside town
:laugh_at::laugh_at::laugh_at::laugh_at:
it’s mad that you can join the army and die for your country but not have a beer or go to glade :yakk:
have you got new bear mittens now??
oh dear god i wish i was going to glade so badly!!
and glo, surely everyone who lives near the seaside should be barefoot, strange town… you should have given them filthy looks and made remarks like “what are those crazy foot covers you are wearing??”
after i charmed the girl behind the counter with my wrinkly, bristly smile to get served (1 can of beer) some hag came out of the back of shop screeching about “you aren’t wearing shoes”
I said that if I had some, I’d put them on. disarmed her a bit 😉
1. i’m real skint after glasto
2. this
wont go into the whole stereotypin thing it’s there call, but it means it’s hit-and-miss if i buy a ticket…
so yeah, basically just wonderin how hard fence-jumpin is and anythin about it really
If thats the case then do it. I know loads of people who have done it. I dont really condone it as if enough people do it, it will ruin the experience for people who have paid due to the volume of people ramming the tents out. The fences are crap and you can lift the panels out or climb underneath.
Another tip is to wear a long sleeve top as security are looking for wrist bands and wont notice if your wrists are covered. Also only take essentials when you jump the fence. Get your mates who have paid for a ticket to take your tent and other bulky stuff in with them.
Door staff (stewards) are on the whole ravers themselves but its the security that dont care a shit and will happily throw you out. As far as I can remember there were two security companies, one was supplied by Oxfam and they were safe as fuck. The other was more militant and I believe they are ex army and they dont fuck about. They drive around in a land rover dressedin black and I saw them perform a tent raid as they thought people were dealing from it.
