there’s no “conspiracy”. cops don’t like events where drugs might be taken because its naughty.
Ambulance Service and NHS staff don’t like to use their resources treating otherwise healthy folk what land up in Emergency Dept because they’ve been greedy with drugs. this was already happening at Glade when it was in TVP-land and it kept happening and getting worse and of course mephedrone didn’t help.
So a “public safety committee” which is not just OB but cops fire and Ambulance said they wanted all the costs to be recovered, it took them a while to do their sums and it pushed up the prices beyond what Glade organisers could afford.
