Has been incredibly noisy up here in Glasgow sirens galore …. Hospital closest to the airport has been shut due to a suspicious package found near or in the grounds…
Really not nice far to close for comfort…. definetly not a good night to be out in Glasgow so glad I too tired from a wedding yesterday to go anywhere!!
Strathclyde Police have now confirmed they are treating the Glasgow incident as a terror attack, and are working alongside Scotland Yard in England..
Here is a timeline of the events.. its not the whole of the RA that’s closed shorty just the A&E dept but thats mental as means the next nearest hospital is what the southern general??
Well looks like its been made a Uk wide issue now.. Uk terror threat level is now at critical http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6257606.stm
BAA SCOTLAND: 30 JUNE 2200 BST
Glasgow Airport remains closed following earlier events. The terminal is not expected to open until Sunday morning at the earliest.
Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport. Anyone due to fly overnight, or during Sunday, should confirm the status of their flight with their airline, before leaving for the airport.
Passengers should also check the Glasgow Airport website – http://www.glasgowairport.com – for further information.
All flights remain suspended for the time being.
About 2,300 passengers are being coached from Glasgow Airport to a reception centre at the SECC, where they will be reunited with friends and family.

Thats a very good deployment of the major emergencies plan by the authorities involved.
Dr Mohammed Asha, 26, who was brought up in Jordan and worked as a junior doctor at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, was arrested on the M6 in Cheshire on Saturday night
The other man detained at Glasgow airport with Dr Abdulla had severe burns and remains in a critical condition, and under armed police guard, at the Royal Alexandra.
The hospital is where Dr Abdullah was employed as a locum.
this example (a qualified doctor working at the hospital) kind of dispels the myth that attacks are necessarily carried out by disaffected or marginalised ‘angry young men’.
this wos no accident by the looks of things to me…i havent
read up much on it as it makes me sik.but the photos in the papper lookd as if he didnt realy care about being on fire and wos after something in his boot??if your on fire i reackon thats the last thing you would be doing unless you had other plans??!!??when that plane just dropd outa the sky after 911 that wos a complete cover up i think seeing as a feew weeks befor they found matey with a shoe full of explosives!!!this planet is getin realy fukd up…sad realy!!:you_crazy
Please be aware that due to a suspect package being located, London Heathrow Terminal 4 has been closed as a security measure.
The Metropolitan Police said it was dealing with the item at the terminal, which had been evacuated and all roads leading to it closed.
BAA said the departure lounge was partially evacuated and departing passengers were being re-screened.
Passengers have been warned this will cause delays to some flights.
Whats going on! There suddenly is a spate of suspect packages and attempts to bomb places. Scary really…….:hopeless:
There are frequently “suspect” packages that we just don’t hear about.. for example if someone leaves their baggage unattended then it will be taken away and destroyed…
It’s just coz of what happened up here at the weekend that we are hearing more about it now..
But yes.. this world is going crazy
I didn’t go out last weekend not because of fear of bombs, but that at closing time being virtually the only non-white face in the town can be a bit “problematic”
Many of the other Asians here just don’t go out after dark! In many cases its due to other life priorities (work/family) but from speaking to work colleagues a lot of them don’t feel safe any more..
what really pisses me off is how the whole country has lost 25 years of positive multiculturalism, and how decent, moderate Asians from South, South East and Eastern Asia are now being demonised because of the actions of a rich but stubborn minority from the Middle East squabbling with the West over Oil..
Its ultimately a few angry rich kids from the Middle East, the same ones whose dads are probably doing arms deals with UK corporates, They (and the world leaders and armies) are all using all of us worldwide as pawns in their game and there seems to be fuck all we can do about it, other than trying to be as small of a part in the consumer/oil-driven society as possible..
Stansted airport have been closed for a few hours earlier today..
I read that they have arrested a man in Australia they think have something to do with this http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6263408.stm
They say that all terror suspects linked to NHS

:you_crazy:you_crazy
:you_crazy:you_crazy
this is another thing that pisses me off..
The British Government often turns away doctors and nurses from friendly Asian countries like who have moderate democratic governments and are less likely to have links to extremists, some people even get their work permits refused after traning that the NHS have paid for!
but then they take in people from Middle Eastern countries or areas of Asian countries where they (particularly MI5/MI6 who watch these things) know there is more anger against the West (even if they are trade partners) – it makes you wonder what sort of deals are being done behind the scenes between “well connected families”,
Also people get allowed in one moment and then treated as “unwanted” the next (which happens a lot due to the complicated work permit system and international politics) it slowly corrodes away at international goodwill..
