I kno tickets rnt on sale til april 1st n its gone a tad commercial but i get 2 free tickets so cnt grumble!anyone planning on going? My m8 can’t make it down till the friday n im goin down wednesday to get a decent camping spot so i got 2 nites on my larry. Anyone else planning on goin down then?
aye mate me and a few mates are headin down if we get tickets, havin to cut back on weekend mayhem till then just to pay for it!
gonna be luvin the dance village, all nite rave hopefully raaa
you been before?
yeh dance village is good, i fuckin hate the silent discos tho in one of the tents. Well if u get tickets post it on here, be gd finding sum like-mided people 2 have a laugh with rather than caining it in a tent on my own till my m8 cums down!
nice one mate will do, we should be off down on the wednesday, never been before so will be a rite experience! yeh the silent disco always seemed a bit of an odd concept to me, cant picture it workin really.
chances of us gettin tickets are good as we got some of our mates who aren’t goin to hammer the phone lines and use our reference numbers to get tickets, so our picture will be on ’em.
can’t wait! just hope i don’t get searched at entrance :groucho:
I wouldn’t worry about it, just use ure imagination n put stuff sumwhere random, not that ull get searched anyway rli. And even if u ran out its stupidly easy to get hold of stuff there.
You’re right it is.. i remember 2 yrs ago sitting at the stones in the early hours waiting to watch the sunrise and people walking up shouting “pills, coke, speed, acid” was mental so blatent..
TBH it makes me angry – not at the people doing it (its an interesting technological concept) but the fact that it such represents a massive victory to nimby anti-noise anti-fun types, who can’t even tolerate a single night of noise from something that only occurs one year…
I couldn’t agree more. I can see some of the flash-mob silent disco things like the one at liverpool street station could be laugh, but i can only see it killing the atmosphere and sense of unity, because for all you know you could be dancing to something completely different to everyone else!
to be honest im not great for noise when im trying to sleep, but at festivals , sleep is the alst thing on ur mind and i find that u get used to the continuos noise in the background
AFAIK people are dancing to different DJs.. you can choose your broadcast
:you_crazy
aye but aint the other tents in dance village goin till like 4am and some later anyway? i could be wrong though.
they might well be; but looking at the wider picture the “silent disco” concept has already been used at other festivals (I think Reading may have been one of these) to justify councils imposing earlier curfews on night time music.
thats well shit, pisses me off tbh… one fuckin weekend a year!!! :you_crazy:you_crazy:you_crazy
