FFS these are very basic flaws in electronic design – normally engineers learn not to do that after they’ve blown up some cheap test setups in the lab rather than let that bad design get into production.
I notice that MS is also having issues with their charger cables overheating…. Had similar design flaws occured with a 230V mains power unit and caused folk to get shocked (although it would be more likely today that the RCD/GFCI opened, putting everything else on the same circuit off supply) whoever was responsible would be sat in jail now even in the “developing” nations (they now all try to comply to European safety standards).
