  • Number 10 recognises that talks with the Lib Dems have not and will not reach any positive conclusion, and they are now discussing the method of declaring that their side of the negotiation is over, BBC Radio 5 Live’s political correspondent Jon Pienaar says.

    BBC News – Election 2010 – Live coverage – General Election 2010

    rather interesting,

if you saw vince cable bickering with the tory i dont think this is going to work .. lol

the problem with some of the lib dems is they bicker with everyone in the interests of “free speech and debate” rather than consensus… they lost my vote after one of the Reading lot publically took the piss out of Leveret on a old internet news group for being interested in old buses in the mid 1990s – I never forgive and forget things like that as it shows contempt to the public (and Leveret would probably have been the most likely person to vote for them!)

like it or not you need a bit of strong leadership and consensus in politics, otherwise it would be like trying to get a load of cats to haul a boadicea style chariot..

it might be a good thing the tories get in for a bit as times will be so bleak they will look even worse than thatchos day and a new election might have to be called fairly soon..

    grumble

welcome back to the 1980s 🙁

    -80’s but with 1984 style control…

I am quite happy with the result, realistically it was about as good as it gets I think. Time will tell I guess, I have learnt much this election! its been good for my personal development if nothing else haha

    I’m not controlling! 🙁

its better than a landslide victory for the tories but could still be harsh at street level for hedonists. Tax cuts will be reclaimed by tax raises on contentious items such as alcohol and tobacco, and the Tories have a manifesto commitment to clamp down on “anti-social nightlife”.

its far from ideal but hopefully the libs will help hold them back a bit. *shrugs* time I experience some conservative rule, see what all the fuss is about ay. I wounder who will win the race, me getting well enough to work or cameron cutting the benefits to so little I am force to live off bread and water. hehe

just be careful not to get sectioned!

I have a nasty feeling they (both Tories and Lib Dems) will introduce Asian style rehab treatment, not hanging as its against EU rules and even Asian govts don’t do that so much any more (its not sensible to execute loads of the next generation!)

However, instead of getting benefits and their behaviour being tolerated, drug users have residential rehab which is not quite prison but similar, based around abstinence and work (to offset the costs)..

Why does no one ever say, welcome back to the 1990s, I mean the tories were in power up until 1997 weren’t they?

in my yard THAT is anti social…why do they claim the rights to that word and why is you all leting them do that?….you are not living under a dictatorship or are you? I a democracy in normal terms they are oblieged to take care of all…and not only what they think is good for votes…or you could get a 2/3 society that cares for the majority and vipes out the interest for all others….this have to mean war into the core of your so called democra(z)cy….you might get a new election law(the libs had that as one of their main goals for this e.) that will make it better for small interests to get heard and taken serriously…thats a hope for the future but realistic I think the libs will get corrupted like the rest of the bunch…

Sectioning people costs a small fourtine, they cant even do it for people who are a major risk to them selves and other people despite what the law says. As they are all about making cuts I dunno I cant see anything like that happening. Unless were talking about people who would have gone to prison and this is some kind of alternative.

tbh, its probably not a bad time to be totally soba! glad I gave it all up, fingers crossed it stays that way.
