I have never heard of this happening in a EBU country in my lifetime – a few nations didn’t do Eurovision this year because they couldn’t afford it, but the Govt putting the national TV signal off air is not normal for Europe..
HF broadcasts still continue apparently, I might try and tune in.. also some of the engineers and journos have “pirated” the local transmitters in the regions 😉
crumbs!
there is a webstream available by the EBU site. I had a look but then realised I don’t understand a word of modern Greek, I briefly studied Ancient Greek in prep school many years ago (no, I’m not that posh but my family thought it was a good idea and I somehow managed to get in there on reduced fees as they thought i had some skills with languages) – but I tend to struggle with language where the whole alphabet is replaced.
