The great big NL flag might be a clue to what the contents are – TBH even many Dutch are often surprised I decided to learn their language (its easier than German but similar enough to listen to and read content in both languages) and managed to convince the pirate radio forum I lived in Groningen (you have to pick a legit province of NL and solve a fairly complex maths question to join.) Most buitenlanders would have picked Zeeland or Noord/Zuid Holland…
Apparently this is to stop any Agentschap Telecom undercover officers; but Agentschaps HQ is in Groningen! (and so are all the pirate stations) :laugh_at:
I have wondered myself why they don’t also play EDM – although it appears they once did but those ones were in cities and got busted quicker; whereas out in the sticks with an older crowd its dificult to tell if they are putting up pirate masts or legitimate amateur radio equipment or mobile phone infrastructure (they often borrow T-mobile masts for the FM transmitters; I saw a pic of one and realised they had also nicked Telekoms protected backup supply (they are better built and have spare room inside compared to KPN installations); it was up there several weeks before it got hauled down..
