So it will expose the truth that its really not that bad and you think channel 4 or even the gov will let that happen..
they sack a professional scientist (the UK’s drug adviser prof nutt) who said MDMA was safer than booze and the drug laws were stupid because they are but channel4 won’t be propaganda. MY ASS!
channel 4 show enough shit like big brother and you’re telling me it’s gonna be a fair programme? i feel sorry for who goes on it.
exactly haha
what i reckon will happen is someone who has overdone the mdma to a SERIOUS extent will go on this show and they will just talk about all the negatives

too much mdma – YouTube
The thing is they cant blame it on mdma as long we do not have proper control on the substance, it can be anything and totally polluted made in a back yard somewhere. It will be like you buy a copy rolex and when it fucks up U blame the rolex factory for that…
The show will be focussing on the effects of the brain and we will be monitoring it on the night. Professor David Nutt will be one of our leading scientists on the show. If any of you would like to be apart of the scientific show please dont hesitate in contacting me.

Glad to hear Nutt will be there be still he is not in charge of the production of the show. Don’t do it kids and kiddies!
wonder how much they gonna dose the participant with l0l
The dose will be standard. We will be then performing MRI scans to show the effects on the brain.

What do you guys over there classify as a standard dose..
Renegade is a reasonable production company – almost on a par with Thames in the 1980s but with a bit more of a 1990s reality TV feel. I don’t think this producer is setting out to do a hatchet job, but TBH its not dissimilar to other similar shows made by the BBC and other broadcasters 10 or more years ago, which did many of the same things and the “debate” only entrenched views if anything.
Daniel to be fair has good intentions – but there are still risks. As others mentioned, Firstly the Ofcom rules still discourage showing drugs in a positive light to shows popular with young people – and they are unclear if this relates to both pre and post watershed productions. C4 has a well known reputation as a “yoof” channel. A more modern development is the proliferation of DVRs and youtube. OK Renegade can keep the youtube stuff down by flagging it as copyright, but once the footage has hit the torrents it can be going as far as Kuala Lumpur within minutes.
This means footage of your idealistic young raver could be being shown to potential employers when he is my age, whereas to do this with the 90s rave shows would mean unearthing a VHS cassette and going to all the trouble to capture it. Even if you use voice distorters, mosaic faces etc unless someone is going to wear a unique set of clothes merely for the telly its easy to ID them, they may also have a unique gait/pose or other characteristics that can ID them (this is even how your pet cat or dog notices your approach).
This company also made a number of Poilce reality series for Sky, so at least some of their staff won’t want to lose existing goodwill with the Police, especially as scanners no longer work 😉
I’m sure Daniel will find some kids off some shitty London estate who want their 15 minutes of fame and its way better than rioting and lighting perfectly decent pie and mash shops on fire, but in todays climate I really wouldn’t suggest anyone with any future/prospects taking part unless they are willling to cope with being mocked for it when they are 40 :laugh_at: Some girl on another forum appeared on a perfecly harmless C4 schools TV show and got mocked for it, started out as a young girl with hopes and ambitions and ended up as a single mother from what i remember…
This is no personal criticism on Daniel, just pointing out the facts as a lot has changed in 10-20 years..

I would think 100-150 mg but I guess this researcher isn’t a scientist and needs to ask them.
of course another important factor is that if you are anything like me (which is quite funny considering where I work) entering any kind of medical facility as a patient is a unpleasant experience. I find these places to be a bit intimidating – even at work in the bigger home I have repeatedly got lost in the “wandering loop” for the old people and tried to walk straight into the laundry room thinking my comms room was there as I was on the wrong floor. TBH for me to go anywhere near doctors/hospital it has to involve a lot of claret being spilt or other life threatening conditions – and this is with 90% of my family having worked in healthcare, with many trained doctors and nurses amongst them.
if I was to go for MRI scan my heart rate / blood pressure would increase sober, let alone on drugs…

the NL drugs testing regime has improved quality to the point that no one needed 112-services despite the pills rising in strength.. and this is without even overt legalisation, just a “dealer tax” of proportionate fines per pills sold..
