  • When I find a youtube video the music crackles and sounds like its got bad connection (similar to when you have a bad radio signal)
When I move the mouse vigorously it gets worse, checked my connection and my connection is fine?
could any one help me out?

    xxx

Very strange, does the sound still work offline on media players, does it still work on other websites ?

have you tried turning it off and on again?

Open your task manager and look at the cpu % when you are watching a video if it is hitting 90-100% that could cause clipping laggyness, it could well be the same issue I have from time to time when I put the old girl though too much . Try lowering the quality of the video stream on the youtube window.

does it only happen on yourtube and is it with every youtube vid?

Do not trust tech support man, he is a secret agent after your gammon.

I would try the speakers on a different sound source like an MP3 player or radio or similar that takes headphones (speakers nearly always connect with a little 3.5 millimeter head phone connector).

They are probably fine and the problem is with the PC, but it’s nice to be sure that is where the problem really is.

    im going with cpu

Yeah, could be malware slowing down the CPU speed or internet connection (or both) by stealing your machine and doing it’s own thing.

Worthwhile checking out whether the speakers are working OK though.

Also worth uninstalling the audio device from Device Manager (Right Click My Computer, Left click Properties, left click Device Mananger, Right Click Audio Devices, Uninstall, then shut down the machine and start it up again). As the machine starts up again it will go “Aha! I have sound hardware” and reload the driver for it… which may be corrupted, causing the problem of stuttery sound. Unlikely but worth trying for when things stop working properly.

    DAMN YOUR SPEAKER CONSPIRACY

how does media played via another media player sound? (not a flash player like on youtube or some methods of tuning in to PV radio)

this might isolate whether the problem is with flash player – sometimes flash goes pear shaped and this sort of thing happens. or you might not even have got malware as such but some “kewl” application installed what is hogging or stealing resources or datamining as part of the conditions of “free”, or there is just too much going on at once. Flash is an awful resource hog and it still has some memory leaks, this means that loading up numerous tabs/pages with flash heavy websites uses up a lot of resources and they aren’t always released correctly back to the operatiing system.

    yeah its definitely flash.
