In 2007, i had this stoned conversation in a stranger’s house, around 3am somewhere near maynooth, Ireland. He was helping his sister with whatever, and that quite often he didnt feel like it, and i asked him why he would put himself out like that when he didnt have to? And he said that when he did he was glad he had. I didnt understand this at the time, but now my mother’s getting old and im doing things i would’nt normally do for her, and sometimes i’ll be at work and think, i could do that for her this evening, she’d like that, and the thought of it fills you with a warm glow, this feeling is love and when you have it you’ll get on with your colleagues much better, and the hard to handle wont bother you as much. But those who do it with an eye on her will, will be moody and worrisome, avoid these poeple, they will take you down with them
