The creator of JWH (lives in NC,I used to live an hour from his town) came out and said it’s a downright shame what head shops have done to his chemicals. He said just like acid was leaked from Sandoz labs, so too did his stuff (though I don’t think I can ever hold JWH in the same regard as LSD). And what’s worse was, people were selling to kids, and I don’t just mean barely underage kids. Head shops started advertising “K-2, 2 for the price of one!”, and the countless names of different JWH blends were so overwhelming. I remember when Mr. Nice Guy was big, a lot of my probie friends hit the pipe like weed, and have since had some seriously noticeable changes to their cognitive function.
What GL said is probably on point. You’ve probably got a stash of illegal herbs. They may be pretty damn effective for all I know, MNG was an on-your-ass type of high. But they’re also stage one of the cannabinoid wave. Anything legal nowadays probably starts with a UR, followed by some numbers. But these are probably older stashes before the ban, and he’s probably just not trying to deal with the hassle, leaving it in your hands.
