TBH although I tend not to believe urban myths/conspiracy theories I wouldn’t be surprised in some areas that other drugs are now being contaminated with an active amount of heroin.
Like any other business, dealers look for a long-term market.
In legit business this is done by “supplier lock in” (for instance computer software companies makes unique data formats that work only with their software) – or sometimes they even are prepared to make an initial loss for long-term guaranteed revenue (like a telecoms company “giving away” hardware such as a network router or a mobile phone in return for sigining a years contract for the comms service)
so if a dealer is looking up on their business as a sole source of income, they may well think why not mix some other stuff with heroin, and subtly encourage people to desire its effects? OK another “conspiracy theory” but its now becoming the case that smack is one of the easiest street drugs to get, the same people (perhaps higher up the chain) obtain smack as well as party drugs, and it is clearly becoming more commonplace on the “party drugs” circles.
TBH I am shocked with how many people on the party scene (not just on here, others I know IRL) have had fairly major run-ins with heroin addiction now 🙁 and it worries me to think of the wider impact of society,
It also worries me to think of the the anger and sadness this spreads amongst those who are picking up the pieces (like peoples families and NHS professionals) and everyone pays for it in the end – from the users to the victims of crime and violence.
This is just the sort of thing that makes others in society feel justified in “zero tolerance” against recreational drug use… why should they let us carry on with our party scene if we are eventually turning to harder drugs, wrecking our own bodies and causing negative impact to society?
Well done to anyone who’se quitting. Please don’t let any addiction drag you, your friends/family and the party scene down – we’ve not fought for our freedom for 14 years to lose it to addiction and be fucked over like this.. 😡

hi there just wanted to say thanks for that, im a recovering addict been clean now for 4 months and am feeling better everyday its nice to know that people out there who are total strangers can take the time to say well done! it dont seem much but to me it means alot just hearing those little words of encouragement gives you a little boost and abit more will to carry on fighting this battle thanks again. shelley.x
glad to hear it – there are way too many middle englanders who criticise any form of treatment for addicts and feel that people shouldn’t have a second chance 😡 – unfortunately they have gained a lot of support recently so the party scene needs to fight its corner, part this battle is supporting any casualties…
a few years ago one of the chaps who was know to the a local crew was going through a bad patch with heroin addiction – he was homeless and begging on the street at one point.
Even so, he always used to attend our parties and and never caused problems or any other bad stuff there and always supported us. Anyway I always used to talk to him when I saw him in the street at lunchtimes/after work – he’d always ask when the next party was! then one day he just disappeared.
I was a bit worried; thought he’d either OD’d or got an ASBO for begging, breached it and was in HMP – but last year I found out that his friends from one of the estates here (a particularly rough one called “beiruit!” in local slang) had found him a place to stay, it seems basically he was being (gently) kept in that area so he couldn’t go begging and get back on gear. He came out for our NYE party and he was actually clean; certainly I could see he was a lot healthier than I had ever seen him….
and this was all done from the street and the crews as much as any public sector agency…

Well i just want to know if anyone out there have been to rehab, ive just undergone my last bit of assesment and i think along with my counselor ive got a good chance of going so just want to know what to expect really. ANYONE GOT AN IDEA.
I guess you mean addiction rather than rehab (also being discussed in this thread!) – thankfully I’ve never needed to go to rehab of any kind but it has to be better than being a slave to a habit, Whoever is going to rehab please post your experiences here if you can bring yourself to do so – good or bad.
I’ve expressed my full and sincere support for the NHS (Britain’s public health authority) in another thread –
OTOH I am aware that like any frontline uniformed public sector organisation it can attract people who have authoritarian views and there are some who take certain jobs because they can vent their spleen on people or control them rather than help them 🙁 .
These people are inappropriate for the caring roles in the health service irrespective of whatever academic qualifications they may have and should be identfied, exposed and disciplined before they can damage others (remember Dr Shipman?)
you have the right to be treated with dignity like any other patient in the health service. The role of rehab is to cure and steer you to a better lifestyle, not judge your past.
Also by sharing your experiences, if they are read here and perhaps dissuade just one new raver from taking drugs to a level where they become addicted, you can also hold your head up high after rehab and say you have paid your debt to the health service by preventing them getting another case to deal with!
And if you’re in a country where there isn’t a public health service and you are paying for rehab, then you have the rights of any consumer and the rights afforded to a patient undergoing medical care…

ive been clean now for 4 months and have done real well (if i do say so myself) and ive always thought about going to rehab but have never really got clean and had the strength to actually get up and go for it, but now im so focused and just want to get my life back on track.
I dont really now what to expect but what i do know of it i really do think i would benefit from that type of intensive therapy (i hate that word) but yeah im just hoping that it is going to give me the help i need. i dont feel that just normal once a week counselling is right for me i have tryed it and am actually working with someone at the moment but its the whole package i need. I do have an N.H.S i live in Wales and the social services are paying for me to go, well i have not had the go ahead yet but it does look promising the assesment went well. i hope that they are not judgmental like you talked about. fingers crossed.xx
My sister used to be on drugs and she never lived with us before cos she was in jail and my mammy and daddy wouldnt leave her live here and she had to live on the road i am 8 and my name is keely i missed her when she was naughty but now she is good and she doesnt take drugs anymore she has to go to the chemist everyday to take medicene to stop her taking drugs and to make her better im happy now and she plays with me and takes me swimming.
Sorry to put a downer on the whole situation… not that it can get any lower than to be a dirty scaghead,. but i reckon that to do that to your body is satanic! what the f**k do people think they are doing wasting all our resources on these total wasters when the NHS is at a crippling point.
The mony should go to the elderly on there pensions . At least these old folk got off there fat arses and saved our Country!
All these dirty little scagheads do is waste my money, your money and everyones time!
