  • If anyone will pm me a number for saturday night, its my birthday on the eigth of march! so i’m 16, since i conveyed some ( a lot ) of information about myself that even if it was fictional can’t come from those narrow minded police officers 😀 but it was true!
so if anyone would like to help me and just a few other friends have myself a good night out, that would be really appreciated..
    thanks!!!

Out of curiosity, what do you guys consider to be the reasoning behind this secret number scheme?
Secrecy from the police, from the property owners, to lessen the chance of not ‘morally gray’ guests (regarding drugs and vandalism at least) attending or to add exclusivity and ‘coolness’?
I’m sure all effects occur to some extent, but I wonder which you attendees deem to be more important.

It’s mainly to stop the police from shutting down a party b4 it gets into full swing … but some people don’t want any old person turning up too. I doubt any property owner would phone up a party line as the likelyhood of it being in there perticuler building is tiny as there are endless amounts of possable buildings a party could be in.

its in fact none of the above, morally gray guests will come anyway when they hear boom boom boom in a city,

the main reason for not giving out partylines is so the police can not get hold of it ring it on saturday find the meeting point close it down, then find the location and close that down, then sieze rig & arrest orginisers all before midnight!

have been to a party before mate? do you know the terms of engagement?

sooo….. its not looking to good for my birthday is it…!
still would really appreciate it 😀

Not an illegal one, no. I remember read a quote some time ago about a police chief’s policy on only trying to raid the things if it gets too rowdy in the area. What an interesting relationship this culture has with the law. I imagine that the liberating feeling of disregarding the rules contributes to the atmosphere and doesn’t just simply allow for more drugs and louder music.

It’s his 16th in a couple of weeks, if he’s lucky he can sneak into a foam party where they sell Red Bull.

There are police cheifs like that, but alot of them will shit something like that down the minute they hear about it. You sound an awful lot like a journalist/student doing a study to me..?
