it sort of made sense this time, as I used to hear these US evangelist broadcasters on the shortwave frequencies in the 90s. and went to two Catholic junior schools. Incidentally when a friend played a tribute mix to Frankie Knuckes on Tuesday evening on our community radio station there had been some really bad atmospherics that were causing interference to every broadcaster (including the strong BBC transmitters) I was worried that it would knacker this broadcast, but all the atmospherics stopped for that hour.
I’m not particularly religious but did wonder if “The Man Upstairs” was saying to Peter and Paul (John Paul II) – “yes, let the big black guy in, he’s a sound dude” and to the angels “turn the weather down for those Europeans, the nuns are complaining they can’t hear the wireless”
If I wanted to hire a painter wouldn’t be bothered if they took drugs, but amfetamine may be better for basic redecoration of a “normal” building, and LSD (or perhaps a combination of both) if I for a more exotic concept. if I had the money I’d hire SAFA to paint something building in some part of Northern Europe and he could have all the acid he wanted, as it could end up winning a prize for modern art/interior design :laugh_at:
