Hi:Fi is an incredible, new, double-music event taking place in May 2006 simultaneously over two separate sites in the north and the south of the country. It will re-write history as the FIRST EVER music festival to boast a line up of both blocking-rocking bands and superstar DJs.
Hi:Fi is the brainchild of the Angel Music Group who are responsible for Global Gathering which last year sold out with record breaking numbers of over 40,000 people. Hi:Fi adds an event to their festival portfolio which represents people’s more eclectic taste in the noughties. The indie line up has been supervised by Glastonbury talent booker, Martin Elbourne who provides valuable insight into the live music scene.
James Algate, the festival organiser says, “Hi:Fi is the festival for the iPod generation. The event will offer something for everyone musically by bridging the gap between out and out dance and live shows. We want to give our guests the opportunity to see their indie and dance heroes performing side by side for the first time. This is something that we believe will suit the more eclectic music tastes of the 21st century perfectly”.
Hi:Fi North will take place for one day and night on Saturday 27th May at the picturesque Matfen Estate near Newcastle. As part of the last Bank Holiday Weekend in May, there’s no doubt Hi:Fi will kick-start the summer by being the first major music event of the season.
Hi:Fi South will be a two day camping festival in the legendary Matterley Bowl near Winchester taking place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May between 2pm and 4am each day.

and how much are the tickets guys? [bit of an oversight really….]
directions would be good too….
might go if we can afford it just to see Ian Brown who is a favourite live artist of mine
raaaraaaraaaraaa
£52.50 plus booking fee for north i’ve been flyering this thing haha
reckon the barn dance is more affordable; i’m off to find my bit of straw:devil_wag
I wouldn’t do the Southern one. it will be crawling with cops and with searches at every entry point. Hampshire cops are not nice people to be dealing with!
Most commercial festies appear to be becoming like Guantanmo Bay with hard house.
