That’s it for me guys, after some 200+ doses, the magic has well and truly gone..
The highs are sketchy and nervous and the feelings just aren’t there anymore, I did (like many) think this day would never come.. But I’m hanging my boots up, I think I’ve made the correct decision.
I enjoyed it while it lasted but the comedowns are just too bloody much now, I’ve watched them fade from a little annoyance into a raging fit of anxiety and worry.
Maybe one day we will meet again MDMA, you have been a great servant to me.. Long may you bring love and peace to the world lmao 🙂
this is normal (and you’ve done better than most to get 200+ bites at the cherry). Unfortunately once you’ve got past the first “honeymoon period” you can never get the 100% high but after abstinence for an extended period (several months to a year) you can get about 80% of the feelings back.
Don’t forget also you will have got older in physical age and emotional maturity; you may also have more reponsibilities career or family wise. Therefore feelings and situations which seemed fun when you are 18/20 are less so when you are 30 or 40 and the comedowns/recovery times required seem “worse” because you have less time to cope with them.
MDMA is fun but not the cure-all for your own or societies problems. if it were really that good there would not be so many men my age group the world over starting or fighting wars; as we had a shit ton of it in the 90s; at some points there was so much around it was irrelevant whether or not it was legal as the cops simply couldn’t lock everyone up in jail; even low level dealing was resulting in a caution.

Interesting that you can get most of the feelings back, I’m not sure if I would ever want to touch it again however..
The last time I dropped (last friday) I felt awful, strong paranoia, I felt my heart and mind race “why is my chest tight” “why is he looking at me/laughing”.. I had thoughts to that tune all night, its just not fun for me anymore.
I can’t say I’m going to miss feeling like I do now, but I am glad I experienced it

Gutted for you mate. Although 200+ doses (probably 300+ if we’re including re-doses within the same session?) seems a lot for someone of your age. Just how frequently have you been doing it to have burnt out so prematurely?
But onwards and upwards I suppose, glad you’ve recognised the damage before it became too severe. You’ll have to stick to benzos or something now and give your serotonin levels a rest 😉

Yeah you’re right mate, I started when I was 18 and im nearly 21 now, I included the multiple re-doses in my 200 figure (however there have been nights of a gram plus :|), I’ve done on average about 4-5 times a month.. It’s no wonder my head has had enough!
There is every chance that I will end up taking it at the odd rave here and there, 2 times a year would be the sort of figure I wouldn’t mind keeping at, but for the next few months, I’m hoping I can stay pretty stimulant free..
*Worth noting that I’ve had some serious chest pains that I attribute to stimulant abuse, I’ve had them checked out and it seems to be okay, but its certainly a warning sign and hopefully I’ve knocked it on the head before things get serious 🙂
For some reason I had thought that you were considerably older and had started in the 1990s; but in the town I currently live in I remember a lot of younger folk I know going through the same in the late 2000s.
There is also a good chance that a lot of what you are getting is a mix of MDMA and the now illegal cathinones; which starts off good but the paranoia hits a lot quicker.
The good news is none of these youths appeared have suffered any lasting physical or mental health problems; but those who didn’t calm down did suffer various life setbacks and also attracted the attention of authorities (as many came from middle class communities in two or three small towns); leading to a massive clampdown on anything vaguely like a rave.

Yes there is no doubt I have consumed some RC’s in my time using MDMA, I know it’s time to call it a day because I’m actually looking forward to feeling normal again lmao.
Hopefully I, like those youths you speak of, have not caused any long term damage (it feels like I have right now but I am coming down pretty hard from last friday)
It seems to me as if the whole “rave scene” is on the come up again.. This may be because im 20 though, I wasn’t around to experience the real days.. Just a thought however as there seems to be a resurgence of undercover meet ups just this last summer around this area at least
