I’ll put it this way : what is described on this site does describe a certain aspect of who I am. In this case it kinda fits my overall personality. This site just gives you a general contour of who you are. What one must not confuse with is the astrologists predictions where one tells you what will happen in your future. This i do not believe as ultimately you decide what you do. They try and influence your actions by telling you this, that, the next thing will happen to you.

But you dont find it slightly unlikely that the date you are born dictates a significant part of your personality/’who you are’? Its not nature, its not nurture; its the position of the stars in the sky when you pop out of your mother?

No i don’t believe in all this shit at all. I never read horoscopes. I don’t believe that anything is pre-ordained past or future. Thing are always in motion. It’s all about interaction. How things work together, whether their are atoms or humans and what comes out of it.

It’s just that when i read this site on virgo it just spoke to me. I am pretty sure that not all Virgo’s are like what was described or like me, otherwise humanity would be dull if erveryone had exactly the same traits. Difference is an all important rule in this universe.

ahhh my bad I see what you mean now 🙂

No probs, that’s what i love about debating (and History for that matter) is that well there never is one answer… always different point of views!! 🙂

when the date for gordon brown becoming prime minster the 25/27 july 2007, astrologers said he was being set up to fail, they could have guessed this with the way things were going, but when president obama was sworn in it was done wrong and they did it the next day, this was done for the same reason. So the ones running the show believe in it, its about when you start something, paganism, shamanism and witchcraft work from these princibles

I am a real believer, people should try to understand what horoscopes have to offer.

I don’t believe in horoscopes specifically but I DO believe in the zodiac and the signs. Mine is spot on, and so is everyone elses that I’ve analyzed. My sign is pisces who get along best with scorpio and cancer and those are my 2 best friends signs:)

It’s a load of rubbish and extremely self-centred. Why would the position of stars and planets in the sky on the date of my birth change my personality and future? How does this apply to twins who have radically different personalities? It seems to be humans grasping for some kind of meaning and feeling of being “special” in the universe. It is strange to me because this is something that should have died out ages ago yet it persists.

I only seem to see females into it. I read them once every few years to laugh at.

WHY I don’t know. Possibly because light levels vary around the year, and your biorhythms get centred on the day you are born (so the actual planetary and star positions are co-incidental rather than the actual cause).

    Quote:
Schizophrenia Has Variations According to Month of Birth
Individuals born in winter and spring have a small but significantly increased risk of developing schizophrenia.19 This finding, one of the most consistently replicated findings in schizophrenia epidemiology, was confirmed in a systematic review of studies based on the Northern Hemisphere sites.20 This same meta-analysis found that the size of the winter/spring excess was positively associated with latitude.20 A well-designed study from Denmark estimated that while the odds ratio for schizophrenia associated with winter/spring birth was very small (relative risk = 1.11), because birth in winter/spring is such a common exposure, the population-attributable fraction associated with season of birth was sizable (10.5%).
