i belive they test the hair itself ..as with a some drugs it stays permantly in your hair untill its cut off .. so if you are long haired hippy for instance then they could see if you did acid since the last hair cut i belive. sry for the hippy analagy, im not rasist towards hippies :group_hug…i just couldn’t think of any other way to explane it :laugh_at:

MOD say its a urine test but I would expect if they suspected further they could use other methods. (I’m not going to post the link from the MOD website here for obvious reasons!)

many public sector jobs (even civillian ones) have a zero tolerance policy for when it involves enforcing the rules which IMO is fair enough. if you help this country enforce the laws that affect peoples lives directly you have to abide by them.

Its not just the fact drugs are illegal which is the problem but that it opens you up to the risk of corruption (hence why people in some housing benefit sections on Councils are tested, even in the more progressive councils like Reading!)

Look at it this way. You could one day have to make the decision that may mean people are dead or alive because of it. Would you be able to effectively do this when recovering from a heavy weekend?

tell them your porn star in your spare time and have to have you bikini line wayed .. you would also have to get a small circumsision as well to fit into the roll … but thats a small price to pay for worry free drug taking :wink::laugh_at:

All a bit of a mission tho! I think i’ll just give up the drugs! I rarely do em these days like i did a couple years back. Tbh i get a better buzz out of working out now! raaa

There are many things that you can do to pass a hair drug test. For one, hair testing may not actually be as accurate as previously thought. see Hair Analysis Testing

I think they can be useful for urine tests that are not government type ones. I think they can get u through off the shelf testing if its a company but I read that years ago. They may well now all use a more advanced test now. Would still not be of any use for hair though.
