because they consider him to be a subversive/terrorist. However as he’s old its not like they want to nick him or beat him up as they know that won’t look good PR-wise – they just keep following him around, monitoring his telephones and wireless comms and internet activity, usual sort of stuff detectives do to activists (even in “liberal” countries in Europe).
