if they don’t want to pay for telly license and want to also write in American they should fuck off over there – though to be fair even Obama has realised that there are plenty enough wingnuts already in the USA without letting any more in (like the EDL nut who got nicked for illegal immigration)
TBH every other nation in the world has a public broadcaster of some sort, for which you pay about €200 per year in some kind of tax and actually get a lot back in return. The community station I work with would not exist without support from the local BBC, and a lot of the tech standards we use to make Party Vibe radio sound good are taken from the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) which is all the public broadcasters working together (they do a lot more behind the scenes than the silly Eurovision song contest)
