the swab could theoretically pick up both traces of drugs and those in your system…. depending how long it was since taking them (for the substances to be present in your sweat); and the only way to find out for sure would be to conduct various experiments using humans and the same test kit in use at the club

however if its an “electronic sniffer dog” (many Police forces now have them) it can pick up really small traces of the substances.

I think you are just refused entry unless you consent to a search but if cops are around in town they may search you anyway depending on how hot the nightsafe system and CCTV is in your town (the bouncers can use nightsafe to tell CCTV control that they have refused entry to people)

they don’t just want to catch dealers here, they want to make people worried about even going into town if they associate with drug users or have small amounts of drugs

if I was the promoters I would look for another venue TBH, as this sort of hassle would drive away punters (I would rather stay at home than endure all this)

expensive but about the same cost as a real dog (including training, handler etc) doesn’t get tired (or eat the drugs) and doesn’t need walkies or food!

yes people can be searched on suspicion after the traces are positive but at the moment though I don’t think people are usually nicked just for being under the influence

although you are technically in posession of drugs (in your bloodstream) proving this is resource intensive (requires a qualified police doctor to obtain blood/urine samples and then forensic analysis of these)

TBH I wouldn’t bother going – the only way to make a stand against this is by not attending – but then again it could be the only event in your area

it seems fucking ridiculous to put this pressure in place on a dance music night, its almost as if they are deliberately trying to stitch up the promoters..:yakk:
