I’ve just gone in the cupboard and thought how come I have so many glasses … And I’ve only 5 pint glasses and 1 other sort of tumbler that I inherited from a visitor to my van ( or maybe me coz i thought it was nice at the time)
… but I remembered back to borrowing 16 pint glasses for a gathering when I was about 16-7 and was shocked to realise my parents sussed I’d had a party whilst they were away…. When they found them
them what else have people borrowed from the pub with no intentions of giving them back?
Oh we also nearly got away with a wooden table and chairs but the police made ya give em back
i do have one seat borrowed from the festie hall about 16 yrs ago by a friend though
None because I’m not a CRIMINAL!
I do, actually, possess some cutlery from the plane, back when they actually gave you really nice metal cutlery. I was 10 at the time and I thought I was allowed to keep it. I jacked the headphones too, but they sucked anyway.
Any I have left will be in my former family home in Reading and from a squatted closed pub from about 2003….If I do go to the pub its the local real ale ones with a group of eco-aware types where the landlord/lady are friends so the last thing they want to do is rob them of even relatively cheap property. if they have any spares they would give them to us anyway. And if you do that in the shitty townie venues here and get caught you are barred from everywhere including the nice pubs as they are all on pubwatch (that reminds me, must find the frequency for my scanner )
No longer smoke so ashtrays are no use to me, and even then the townie pubs use smaller ones (so that they can’t be used as weapons in fights) and in any case there is no way I am going to have glasses from crappy townie pale lager in my house…..
Oh if we are talking cutlery I have a load if nazi stuff my grandad stole, err borrowed from the war
I don’t know what to do with it so its kept in a box under my bed
A bit weird I know
I also have a shed load of ‘hospital property’ cutlery too
God knows where that’s from either ….
As I said I don’t know how all these things never got given back to their rightful owners, not me guv
Oh so you’re a Nazi? Figures….=p

Shhh! Don’t tell anyone!
But on a serious note I don’t know what to do with it, I just found it in the cutlery drawer when I moved in here, and I don’t want it to get into the wrong hands, so I just put it away.
about 10 real ale pint glasses

Well, I figure Stollen is a Dutch variety of Christmas cake or fruit cake or similar…
… as for the Nazi war loot, it’s illegal to possess on display, offer for sale, in similar countries, but I suspect you are OK in the UK. Just don’t go offering the stuff for small sums… if you’re going to fulfill the wishes of some sad wannabe fascist, you might as well make sure you get a tidy sum for them. Fakes abound when it comes to that stuff.
Just don’t go offering them on the German branch of eBay. 😉
As for stolen glasses, I don’t have any. I do have some glasses which I removed from the Queens Highway to prevent a possible breach of public Health and Safety. As the previous owner of the glasses would have been liable for any losses caused, I think in the case of glass left on the highway I have a right to remove it. Likewise, fallen logs or other natural debris.
Check the 1968 Theft Act on this, because I freely admit I could be wrong;-
Lol pat, I didn’t even notice my spelling mitake!
But no I’d rather keep it under the bed as a reminder of my grandad and the experiences he went through, and thankfully returned from despite being missing presumed dead for many months – than sell it to a fascist wanker
Always have your alibi handy. So much easier to explain with one than without one.
Oh, far be it from me to even comment on somebody’s sleeping arrangements. I’d find it pretty hard to sleep on a family momento but that’s just me. Just saying that I do believe there are some buyers (some are fascists and some aren’t) for it via auction houses, and there are legit public museums and similar that you can donate the stuff to.

I’ve just realized this isnt in the house any more so the ex must have taken it!
They get them from the brewery anyway I would imagine.
I’ve got a nice Peroni glass which I now use for water when I’m hungover, it saves multiple trips back to the tap!
