Is anyone going to hyde park thing today?
or no anything about it? cause some people are saying on squatjuice that its actually a free party rather than about the goverment cuts?? any soundsystems or anything?
thanks any information please
whatever folk say, its going to be something linked to the protest march and/or will be viewed by feds as such.
It may or may not get pigged/kettled, but if you are sensible its easy enough to avoid trouble. I don’t know where in London you live but if you are smart enough to look after yourself, and it won’t get you in excessive trouble (I remmeber you saying you had had a run in with the law and were being drug tested or something like that) why not just go and take a butchers?
take a butchers..?
im confused

Take a butchers means kidnapping a butchers cat. Or it means having a look. One of two anyway
can you point me towards any parties tonight that aren’t free but may be a little easy going with the age? cause im 16, and dont look young but got no id.
cheers.
the standard of edumacation in London is really declining if youngsters don’t know rhyming slang any more… :laugh_at:
Butcher’s Hook is Cockney Rhyming Slang for Look!
BTW I’ve checked the news and what is going on at hyde park is some political speeches and stuff. not sure if there is any music, sometimes you get portable sound systems at these kind of marches…
I even looked for a afterparty but the only one is in city road and you are supposed to buy tickets beforehand (probably on TENS license so limited numbers) and only one floor is music, the other is political discussions and stuff. When I was your age we got that sort of thing for free :laugh_at:
Going by e1s it’s an full on take down of the government :-/ keep parties an politics separate imo
or if you are going to mix the two do them in well chosen squat/social centres with small groups of clued up people what don’t do too many drugs (but still know how to party…..)
People did that 10 years ago and the feds left the parties alone..
actually more recently i’ve partied in legal venues which people like trade unions and other left wing community groups who are prepared to sit down and work out deals with the Council have helped obtain for the people…
however the people who are marching in London today really don’t need a load of fuckwits latching on to them, stirring the pot and damaging their cause….
that can’t happen anymore, I mean for fucks sake at least 4 lines for very prominent rigs have on them at the minute get down to London come in masks and look for the red and black flags
no good will come of today.
if I believed more in conspiracy theories I’d almost think it was a fit up job by the Met as its that stupid but there are just some stupid people around these days…. they are asking for every event in London to be investigated by CO11 (surveillance units) and locked off….
I know E1S like to get very political on their partyline, shame their parties tend to be very average London techno things. On the line he’s going on about the poll tax – maybe he needs to get with the times! There are various things planned later but who knows what will happen..

I went on a poll tax march but that was in 1990 :laugh_at:
Ironically back then a lot of illegal raves were in fact organised by Conservative supporters as a money making exercise (to the great annoyance of Thatcho).
Cameron used to attend these, which is why any resurgence of this culture will be a embarassment to him and he will do everything in his power to stop them, and unfortunately unlike the old codgers in govt in the 1990s his generation knows enough about how they work and how they are funded..
Yer iv’e only ever been to one of there parties not the biggest good tunes mind, i remember it was about 6 o’clock were ready to get off and the dj drops this beast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mX1GQNHgyks&feature=channel_video_title
