Can anyone kindly post what a valid prescription for 30mg of Hydromorphone looks like?

If you mean what does the actual written prescription look like, it would look exactly like any other prescription from where ever you are just with hydromorphone on it instead of ear drops or what ever.

Neat site, but I meant what a prescription for it would look like? The coding for the terms and methods of taking it, etc.

For example, Oxycontin would look like:

OXYCONTIN – 80 MG SRT
Take 3 Tabs PO TID for PRN 30Days
Qty:270
Repeats:0

How would it look like for Hydromorphone?
PM me if necessary, need the info for a book SWIM is writing.

Oh, and how many would one typically be prescribed? Same quantity as they were receiving for Oxycontin if they were previously on that, or what? The ratio of Hydromorphone to Oxycontin for example, know what I’m trying to get at?

do they have 30mg hydromorphone pills cos tbh that’s a ridiculous dose… just like OC 80mg. only for hardened long term pain suffers with intense opiate tolerances.

Information given to me states they exist, have come across info on 1, 2, 4 and 8mg Hydro and some hits on 30mg too, maybe there’s some miscommunication somewhere but from the info I was given, yeah Hydro 30’s exist.

What would be the ratio of 1 Hydro 30 to Oxy?

I know some with paracetamol in have 300mg of paracetamol .. mby this is what you’re thinking of … 300/10’s? or something

2mg of hydromorphone is the same as 17mg hydrocodone.

My daughter has been given this prescription today by her doctor and will be going to the pharmacy tomorrow.

DILAUDID 8 MG
Take 3 Tabs PO TID for PRN 30Days
Qty:270
Repeats:0

Any idea how much this prescription will cost? Is it covered by insurance/OHIP?
Any help would be appreciated, keep trying to post this but
