Thought I’d take it the topic off the ‘Moderators wanted’ thread and start a new one.

I used to work in a dog kennels (for about 2 years).. had to leave to get some more money in to move out.. have no idea where to move though? London was first option… WAAAY too expensive… Brighton was the second, but it’s a bit out of the way and I wouldn’t be able to get to most of free parties as easy. =[ Maybe Croydon? Norfolk would be a great place but none of my close friends are more interested in living where the alternative club life mostly is etc etc etc.

Anyway, yeah dogs :D:D:D

East Anglia is cheaper and often friendlier than London/SE England and theres still a fair bit of nightlife here….I wouldn’t TBH move to any area just “for the party scene” as unfortunately free parties are getting locked down pretty much all across the country in the same manner…

I think a lot of kennel/cattery assistants are badly paid (probably just minimum wage) as the owners know people do it for the enjoyment factor, so might be worth getting a normal office job what pays better but doing something voluntary for animal charities,

They always want people to help resocialise dogs and cats that have gone to the animal shelters..

thinking about this more I reckon East Anglia would be the best place at the moment if you wanted both a reasonable “day job” (unlike other regions some places are still hiring) housing that is cheaper than in SE England and/or wanted to work with animals, more chance of getting a paying job you enjoy as well…

I was born and brought up in “Londonistan” (SE London, Lewisham/Catford area) and although it did have a buzz to it and was fun for a while, its getting decidedly angrier and edgy to the point where it is hard to have peace of mind no matter how much you are earning or what job you are doing

I would fully agree with those saying Croydon is a shithole.

Some friends of mine who live there had their car fired upon after a minor road rage incident, they only got a bullet hole in the wing rather than in any people but its still not pleasant!)
