I have iKlub, Klyb Lyfe, Klub Funktion. It needs to be feminine because girls go clubbing and girls attract men, so I need something feminine. It’s gonna be a Dance Club with Funky/House/Organ Music.

Genius!
How about Club Clunge?
Klub Visa?
“Meat Market”… no, that’s just typical…
“Fun House”. “Lucy’s Locker”. “Dream Scape”. “Fantasy Lounge”.
Here’s how I did that – just looked up a few club names the phone directory and tried mixing a few names up. Give it a try. 🙂

That works for Chinese takeaways too! Pick any combination of Golden, Magic, Lucky, Jade or Imperial with Panda, Dragon, Wok, Lotus or Palace :weee:

Got a menu through the other day for one called ‘Ling Ling’. Is it wrong that my first thought was that it was named as such because that’s the noise the phone makes when u call em?

Lol no not at all. XD
I heard a story once about someone going into a chinese with a broken finger and getting some chips. They asked him if he wanted salt and vinegar, he thought they said “Sore finger?” and started talking about how his finger hurt. :laugh_at:

Ha ha, that’s one of the great accidental by-products of different cultures mixing man, it leads to some amusing situations as regards language & wordplay. I heard of an incident years ago when Thatcher was in power & she was having a chat with a visiting foreign dignitary, and in response to something he said, she said ‘out of sight, out of mind’. Unfortunately the translator had never heard this English colloquialism & relayed it to the dignitary as ‘blind and mad’!
On a similar theme, the car maker Mitsubishi has a 4×4 model called the ‘Pajero’. Quite a normal name, but it doesn’t sell well in Spain where pajero means wanker!
Also, John Toshack, the former Liverpool player & Wales boss had a spell in charge of Galatasaray in Turkey in the mid-late 90’s. At his very first game, he was introduced to the crowd who fell about pissing themselves laughing because toshak is turkish for bollock!
