Important message to all that intend to go to Fusion-2012;

Dear Fusionists,
Slowly- but surely we have to accept the fact that the cold season will be knocking on our doors, soon. This means, it is about time to put our thoughts together and start the process of planning the next round of our annual gathering at the end of June.

One topic seems to dominate our discussions. How to distribute the amount of 55000 Festival Tickets fairly amongst all participants?

Clearly, the number of people that would like to join the annual fair of utopia is increasing rapidly.

The data of last year indicate that the demand of Festival tickets is exceeding the amount of tickets we are able to supply. Last year’s Ticket pre- sale went down in less than two days and almost the same number of people who bought a ticket, registered for the ticket bingo in April. It is unrealistic to believe that the situation will change this year- the reality is, that in times where, life becomes more difficult and harder- utopia is in great demand.

The idea that, the tickets for the upcoming meeting of Utopist_innen will be sold out in a few hours and the imagination that in the future the tickets will be gone within a couple of minutes, motivated us to come up with a new ticket system.

Matter of fact is that everybody who does not own a fast Computer nor got the opportunity to use a fast internet service during those hours of the ticket pre- sale, was left behind, empty handed. We cannot just sit around twiddling our thumps; we have to put a stop to those lousy characters that are trying to make big business by selling the Festival tickets on the black market. It is simply a GIANT RIP OFF. (Although we reduction of 2 tickets per person, the number of people who sold overprized tickets on the black-market increased significally in 2011)
There are two huge problems and we couldn’t figure out an easy solution. After long and exhausting discussions we brought ourselves to radical decisions, which we will explain below. Please read the following passage carefully in order to avoid confusion and misunderstanding.

To cut a long story short: this is how the procedure is going down

1. All 55.000 Fusion-Festival-tickets are not sold directly.

2. Fusionists, who want to buy a ticket, have to register exclusively on the Fusion website from 01.12. – 14.12.2011. With this registration it is no claim on a purchase for a ticket created.

3. On December 18th 2011 the purchase options for all 55.000 tickets are raffled off amongst all registered persons.
Subsequent to the “lottery” all winners can buy one ticket in each case. The tickets will be sent in certified mail in middle of May 2012. Tickets that have not been paid and cancellations will be drawn in a second lottery – the “bingo” on 15.04.2012 – among all “losers” of the first round.

4. You can register once for both lotteries between 01.12.2011 and 14.12.2011. This registration is exclusively for your proper name and just for one ticket. Multiple registration and aware misrepresentation will lead to disqualification without any comment.

5. To avoid that couples, crews and families are torn apart –with your registration you can create cliques with the persons you wish to come to Fusion 2012, your partners, your families or whoever you like. In the lottery wins either the whole clique or no one. Essential is that at least 50% of the clique are winning. You’ll find more details on that in point number 8.

6. Bargain with Fusion Festival tickets through speculators is neither in your nor in our interest.
That’s why this year’s tickets are personalized, that means that they are attributed by name. The tickets are only available at the entrance to the festival for the person whose name is printed on the ticket. The keeper of a ticket has to identify him- or herself at the festival’s entrance.

7. The transfer of a ticket to another person is not possible. The ticket only can be canceled.
With the successful purchase of your ticket you’ll get access to your personal ticket-account. There you can get details of your processing status, change your address or cancel your ticket by yourself. In that case you’ll get promptly your money back.

8. The practice of building cliques will be organized as follows:
Person A, called Paul, creates a group and refers is “Rocketflyer1”. He tells is girlfriend Katrin who wants to come with him to Fusion festival 2012 that she’s due to name that group-name when she registers. Now she receives the information that she and Paul establish the group “Rocketflyer1”. Paul himself receives the information that Katrin joined the group. So far so good – they are one clique now. If just one of them wins they both would come to Fusion festival in 2012.
Of course it is possible that more than 2 persons could join the group. The maximum dimension of one clique is limited on 15 persons. Paul, the founder of the group, has the possibility to decline people who want to join. That one who has been declined of one clique cannot join another clique but he or she will automatically partake solo in the lottery. The creation of a clique is just once – while registration – possible.
Cliques do win always when at least 50% of the members are winning. This practice does not guarantee a chance of 100% for a ticket but at least it is the maximum of equivalent opportunities to get a ticket.

Well, these are the new procedure and arrangements for the Fusion 2012. Please be sure to communicate everything with your friends so that you have settled the questions of a solo registration or who is going to create a clique with whom. The more clearly you know, what you want, the less chaos will be developed, which means less stress for us as well.
To everyone who did speculate to make profit of Fusion –tickets we say: ”Stay at home and fool about lotto!”

First of all we do wish you good luck in the acceptance of tender. So you could be part of the annual unification of utopists of the world.
We know that this sounds weird! But rumors are telling that there are weirder things to reach: to go to heaven for example. Apart from the fact that it is boring there and there won’t be any adequate party – reasons why we won’t get there not to safe one’s life, again with a portion of luck you could reach our heaven. You even don’t need to try to come through our new fence in camels disguise. It will be enough to knock at our job center’s door, you don’t need to sing one single Hallelujah, and you just will help our devils riddle our hell’s fires for 6 hours. But take heed! Even these work shifts are not endless and it is strongly recommended to inform you before landing here.
