Yeah BUT the fella have to brave the freezing winds and all that shit. They take turns on the outside, it’s amazing if you ask me. If I was a penguin I would be like, “I’ve already had my turn on the outside” and waddle into the middle and get warm with my baby egg.

I know it’s adorable ! I can’t wait for them to upload the 2nd half of the doco
Are they the emperor ones are they, I always forget. You get them ones with the yellow hair too, they are like fashionable penguins. But they don’t like in the antarctic….. do they??

I was watching the penguins documentary on bbciplayer, and the females go hunting for food whilst the males sit on their ass’s looking after an un-hatched egg all season!
Speaking of iplayer the africa documetary is really good. At the end of each episode they so a little behind the scenes and show you all the crap the film crew have to go though to get the footage. This one episode, he has to spend the night o a platform in the trees to film elephants socialising at night, but they knew he was there and tried to smash his tree down.
Even the locals that were showing them round the congo were like “you are crazy staying in there”
Yeah that was the emperors, they have the yellow bits, the other ones if you watched the doco was the rockhoppers, took me a minute to try and remember the name there, they can’t survive the cold as well as an emporer would. They tend to live more on the islandy patches of antarctica rather than right in the middle of the freezingness
Yeah the Emperors are the ones who huddle in the cold, Emperors are just the classic lookin penguins.. Emperor Penguin – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
