It’s basically a proposal by the Govt that ISP’s will automatically filter out certain types of content and then, if you wish to receive said content you must opt in.
This is fair enough, but if you are using a shared network provided by say, a caravan site where you can’t get a landline then you are restricted to what THEY deem should be accessible.
Also the opt in, radio buttons may not exist for certain types of content depending what the ISP in question decides they want to allow you to have access to.
Well I will have to opt in , those sites are the only sites I actually use.

Reminds me of when you used to have to phone up with a credit/debit card to verify your age to access porn sites back in the 90’s. I did hear that this will only be for any NEW internet connections anyway, so my gay porn site visits should be safe.
It remains to be seen just how effective censorship can be on the world wide web.
There will always be ways around UK laws in terms of accessing foreign content, and there’s nothing the ISPs can do about it.
